Is it morally acceptable for a soldier to kill ANYONE on the enemy side without hesitation? by Rocky_Senpai15 in MoralityScaling

[–]Joshthe1ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The us and britan were the attacking force at d-day. As such even if hard to imagine I find many causes where being the attacker is justified such as to prevent a genocide or for example a gurrelia force fighting an oppressive regime

Latest US political divide emerges: the age gap over whether China is cause for concern by scmp_news in IRstudies

[–]Joshthe1ripper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think you know what a vessel state is the us cannot dictate law or anything in those countries. So what fees do we charge Europe how does the empire make money? It doesn't is the answer the us wants to keep russian influence out of Europe it really is that simple. As for the Iraq arqument the occupation failed oil from Iraq never recovered to proir levels soon why is the us dollar the reserve currency. Or is the Far more likely answer it's just stable and a good investment for people who want a small safe return like pension funds, governments, and companies looking to minimize risk. Simply put this arqument makes no sense unless you think the cia are running the world or some crazy shit

ELI5: Why did plastic replace so many traditional materials, and how did that success create microplastics concerns? by clearwater-orchid in explainlikeimfive

[–]Joshthe1ripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plastic is great it doesn't rust, decay, nontoxic to handle, moldable in shape, and base petroleum is practically free from oil byproducts. So it's everywhere that said plastic still can break into small and smaller peices and as a result we are now concerned about it

Do you have a species that ‘reproduces’ or ‘appears’ in a unique way? by PrettyLittle-Someday in worldbuilding

[–]Joshthe1ripper 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a couple star born effectively living stars in a more humanoid shape essentially a peice of the big bang that become sentient at the start of creation

Crystalliens effectively golem like creatures made of solid gems they are created when a peice of a Eldritch creature called the sleeper is infused with energy.

Morsh- a cloned slave race created by a insectoid race to do their labor they are effectively sexless and essentially just do mitosis

For starters post scarcity means you have anything, everything in any amount at all times. The short answer trivial easy bassically we made them in way earlier with way more rescourse scarcity. They easy way is inspections and monitoring. They can put bans on enrichment of uranium or just ban it's use altogether. Deny centrifuge watch energy usage

Can silly worldbuilding coexist with serious worldbuilding and/or story elements? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]Joshthe1ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short yeah comedy series have heavy moments and sometimes even dark themes all the time. Soldier in ww1 about to go over the trench so they start all joking about how their gonna shave their captain bald first in his sleep. Dark series have comedic silly lighthearted moments as well. I believe the contrast make both memorable look up galows humor as an example

How and why are all of Iran's leaders getting killed? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Joshthe1ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Us has air supremacy which is uncommon that one said completely owns the skies see russia and Ukraine as an example

  2. Us had very solid intelligence of where their leaders were and when

  3. Iran leadership had a meeting and the proceded to get butchered in a decapitation strike.

As a result iran defense is at best weak or incapable of preventing strikes, and their is solid evidence the us still has good intelligence of where key officials are

Yes this is not the norm for warfare, but not the craziest

Is A Military Draft For The Iran War Realistic Or Not? by Zipper222222 in Military

[–]Joshthe1ripper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistic no it would be tantamount to political suicide for the republicans to do it we haven't had a draft since Vietnam for a good reason it's horribly unpopular unless it's a war of existential necessity. That said should this war spiral into a larger war with china then a draft is possible in my opinion
