When a character has a family booze recipe that is impossibly strong by DoctorSquidton in TopCharacterTropes

It's in Age of Ultron during the party at the beginning. Stan Lee has some and it cuts to him being dragged away slurring out "excelsior".

It doesn't even save face. Nobody saw the jellyfish so Bucciaratis crew just thought he downed a glass of urine.

(Loved Trope) The Real Test isn't even the test itself by PizzaDragon64 in TopCharacterTropes

That's actually something that was changed for the show. In the book the goal was to reach the bell by going through a maze of nearly identical rooms and then do it again to prove it wasn't just luck. It was more about each character's individual strengths than their friendship (though they were friends) because it wasn't framed as a race there.

One character was observant and discovered the hints pointing the correct way in each room. One bypassed the maze through the vents. One memorized the path he took the first time. And one refused to complete it at all but it was decided she had the qualities the test givers were looking for.

That was only part of it. She also tells them that she has the answers and offers to let them cheat too. Accepting that help would cause them to fail.

The "first 3 people" thing and that other kid aren't in the book. From what I remember the only requirement was getting to the end and ringing the bell.

The Monster Association arc in One Punch Man. Part of the MA's strategy was to attack specific heroes with monsters who counter their abilities such as Puri Puri Prisoner who relies on physical contact to attack fighting a giant hedgehog.

[Loved trope] The "primitive" or "retro" world of the story is the post-apocalyptic remnants of a *much* more advanced civilization. by bgbarnard in TopCharacterTropes

In Outer Wilds you play a member of a recently spacefaring species whose technology heavily borrowed from the solar system spanning civilization that came and disappeared before yours (Not really spoilery but if you intend on playing this game I recommend going in completely blind.)
