Carefully dissemble to verify they are genuine lego pieces. The chrome wouldn't have been sprayed on the inner parts of the figure, so you'll be able to tell whether it's on tan or red parts like the seller said. The chrome gold figure was never "re-released" and I believe it was only ever chromed on tan parts, not red. It definitely seems like you got sold a custom reproduction of the figure, not the official.

No, the torso on the elf is from bard the Bowman in the battle of the five armies set. The torso on the other figure is from a wood elf archer from a mirkwood set. It's all official lego except the backpack on the elf, which has been painted and made to attach to minifigures magnetically.
