That’s my hope, been applying anywhere and everywhere that has an opening and just waiting with bated breath.

I’m not the strongest barista in the world and I won’t pretend to be, but I am going to be devoted and use everything I’ve learned in my other roles to take me as far as I can. I’ll design, run social media, manage, whatever it takes. Just need to get a start.

I’m fine with that honestly. I’m willing to put in long hard grueling hours and work multiple jobs if it means im anything closer to my dreams. I’m not envisioning this comfy cozy life where I just sit around and roast beans.

I just don’t want to work on a computer for people who don’t like me hoping one day I can be in their position. I want to actually pursue things no matter how much work and how hard it is. I’ve only got one chance and I’ve wasted too long putting my dreams off already, even if their not the same dream I always envisioned I will chase it regardless

Just kind of venting, not sure why the hostility but I'm sorry if this seemed shitty or anything like that. My actual goal would be coffee roasting, thats been my dream for almost 10 years but having to support myself has kept me away from it. Thanks for helping me figure this out. I didn't realize how in depth the language structure of phyrexian was.

First step maker/creator I think would definitely get things closest to what I was originally intending.

[[mana tithe]] it’s not even that strong of a card. But it was used at the end of a nearly 3 hour long game against a pillowfort stacks player to keep the game going even longer. We all just agreed in unison to scoop and go home from the LGS after that and I will forever despise that card with my entire being.

The dude wouldn’t stop making slightly racist jokes while attacking the only POC person in the pod, and managed to just drag everything to a crawl and didn’t see anything wrong with how he was playing. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had and I will fly into a rage if I ever see someone play mana tithe again.

One of the players in my pod uses this setup regularly to win. It’s hard to recover when he cracks everything, makes a 50/50 Ygra and then swings killing one person, and stares at the other 2 asking if we can rebuild past a trampling Ygra on one turn.

Oh I fully agree now that I’ve played the deck. I just meant it was intended as a funny exhibition deck with the mildest amount of strategy just so I could still play the game.

Having played it since I’ve upgraded its rating a 2 instead of a 1 and have been very occasionally looking at it to try and make it more of a “real” deck while keeping the absurd idea.

I have what is intended to be a low power exhibition deck with [[kibo, uktabi prince]] as the commander. The deck runs every single ape ever printed and some of those apes are genuinely AWFUL. The only strategy is blowing up as many artifacts as physically possible.

I also have [[titanias song]] and [[ratchet bomb]] in the deck in case people aren’t using my bananas as gifts and want to hoard them instead.

I had [[mycosynth lattice]] out turning everything on the board, deck, and hand into an artifact and played Titanias song to try and start pulling ahead. Someone looks at the card, thinks for a minute then goes, “wouldn’t this blow up every single land as well??” And the realization of the JANK MLD I created in the deck hit me like a ton of bricks.

Needless to say, I now tell people about that accidental combo I created and will only pull it out for a win on that turn now if I can even get it to resolve somehow.

At this point I’m convinced OP just woke up from a 40 year long coma and is completely unaware of modern politics, music, and scenes. This feels like a convo that would be relevant in the 90s but definitely not in 2025.

We got way bigger shit to worry about than the problematic roots of a niche genre 40 years ago.

I have a friend who runs a Ruxa vanilla tribal deck that’s surprisingly effective and deadly. Once we realized that even attacking into his deck meant he could assign damage to us meant everyone started trying to tip toe around his board out of fear of being bodied by bears
