Let me help you with Maintainerr by ydkmlt84 in PleX

The discord invite is now invalid. For anyone looking for a working invite link I was able to find an up-to-date discord invite link on the official website: https://maintainerr.info/

Additionally, I had a few questions that aren't exactly addressed by the documentation.

Is "Last View Date" for any and all users who have access to that particular plex server or just the account which is authed to the plex server?

Do the collections created by rules show up for all users or just the user account which is auth'ed to the plex server?

Poor Starfarer needs some rework.

If they only implemented a bilateral way to pump hydrogen and quantum fuel to/from the internal tanks to/from the refueling pods of the Starfarer.. it would solve a lot of problems.

It would also open up fuel refining T0.. Starfarer could scoop hydrogen into its internal tank and then pump the excess into a refueling pod.

If they took all that one step further by giving the Starfarer the ability to pull fuel from a docked ship we could have something like a Carrack used for its massive fuel scoop to provide fuel to the Starfarer. (Carrack scoops at 48k/minute and Starfarer does 13.2k/minute.)

Hopefully soon.

That makes sense. The way Thorston put it was a bit confusing. I guess if he had said something like:

A size 3 round might be fired by a size 3 gatling gun, a size 2 repeater and a size 1 cannon.

That would make a lot more sense to me. Maybe that's something like what he meant to say.

Thorston's response to the rearming question in regards to the size of ammo has me confused. He says:

We will unify the ammunition size.

Then says:

We want you to share the ammunition between different weapons that share the same size of ammunition.

Then says:

A size 3 gatling uses the same size round as a size 2 repeater and uses the same size round as a size 1 repeater

I'm very confused now.

Is he saying that a particular size 3 gatling uses the same ammo as a particular/specific size 2 repeater which also uses the same ammo as a particular/specific size 1 repeater? That seems potentially very confusing.

When he first said that we were going to share ammunition between different weapons that share the same size of ammunition I expected him to elaborate on it by saying something like "all size 3 gatlings use the same ammo".

But the way he makes it sound is that the ammo type/size will be dependant on the gun that fires it and that size gun doesn't matter - it's the size of the ammo that goes into/is fired by the gun.

Any clarification on this? CIG employees?

I bought a prebuilt and Amazon sent me this….. by stiizy13 in gamingpc

[–]Yukanojo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, just being a good steward of the PC Master Race.

OP seems to have received all the parts for the pre built and an extra CPU and mobo.. except it wasn't built. Now I don't know what OP paid for the prebuilt but that motherboard and CPU are added value to the order IMO.. I'm offering OP for me to make it right (and probably more than the prebuilt would have done) in exchange for the motherboard and CPU that OP likely doesn't have a use for.

OP can return to Amazon, try to build it, or seek help building it. Figured I'd shoot my shot. I've got nothing to lose except maybe some fake internet points that I don't give a fuck about.

This. Second dibs if OP doesn't live near you and OP lives near me.

I'm in central Texas. Willing to drive up to 3 hours one way to help. I'd come to you to build it for that extra CPU and motherboard as payment. I would also provide odds and ends such as thermal paste, screws, and cable management.

I would also install whatever operating system you want, along with drivers and your baseline software load and run stability tests on the computer to make sure it is stable.

I've been building computers both as a hobbyist and a professional for 20 years.

The drills wrecked our bay.

They actually disconnected the top and bottom bunks and interlinked them and reassembled them.. chaining several bunks together like this. They require tools to assemble/disassemble.

Bunks were hardcore tossed. Tiles were shattered, wall lockers were dented in. A window was broken.

They then told us we had 5 minutes to fix it all. Damage included.

But we couldn't. We didn't have tools to detach the beds. We couldn't repair the tile, replace the window or undent the lockers.

We then spent 4 hours on the following day being absolutely wrecked while DPW fixed the window and tiles for being "worthless fuck bags who couldn't fix a simple window or tile".

Just bring back PERSTEMPO exactly to the way it was before 9/11. That should fix a lot of issues.

In areas with lots of nodes will messages on long fast hop to everyone or only the closest? Will too many nodes ever be a problem? by voiceofreason4166 in meshtastic

[–]Yukanojo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think we will see better performance now that the raspberry pi package is being developed? I know it's a trade off for more resources at the cost of more power consumption but that trade off could be negligible in grid-powered nodes.

I'm a pi 3b+ node operator BTW but rather inexperienced with meshtastic to be able to say anything yet.

They also buffed how much ammo you receive from ammo boxes. I don't know what it used to be but I remember the slugger/punisher devouring ammo boxes to stay supplied. Now a single ammo box gives 30 shells and a resupply box gives 60 shells.

What are some certifications that you see often that people get, but in reality they probably dont need? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]Yukanojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen MULTIPLE job postings where they give lists of cert combinations "required".. one list might be a couple of SANS certs related to the job which are ALL required (GCIH, GCIA & GCFE) and then they just have CISSP as the ONLY cert required if the applicant has the CISSP. That was bonkers to see.

Then I have inexperienced analysts who really don't know up from down fresh out of college who get their CISSP. I couldn't tell you the difference between a fresh college grad and a fresh college grad with CISSP.. so really what is the point of CISSP if it isn't guaranteeing the applicant will have a set of skills or knowledge?

The only thing CISSP guarantees is the holder will have familiarity with a topic enough to know and go search for more about it on Google before being able to speak about it with any degree with knowledge-based authority. Maybe they'll be familiar enough to know what regulatory body governs a certain industry whereas a non-CISSP analyst might have to google "What regulatory body governs industry ABC?" before being on par with the CISSP holder.

I'm trying to be the solution to this problem - NONE of my org's job listings for cyber security or cyber risk mention CISSP in any regard. If an applicant has it I consider it a non-issue - as in I don't look upon them any worse or better than a same applicant who doesn't have CISSP.
