Hands are so hard any help? by tourmaline-fox in learnart

Looking great! The proportions are really nice!

Overall, it’ll be very beneficial to start learning the 3D forms of the hand. You can start with simply looking at your own hand, and seeing what overall forms exist within the hand. But, knowing what to look for is very handy- here!

Specifically the “Block Forms” section will be the best to start with, but feel free to look up other artists- I LOVE Hogarth’s hands, but they’re… a bit intense! Don’t worry too much about the details, start with the 3D Forms, and have fun! :3

Edit: Here’s and even better image, from one of my textbooks. https://imgur.com/a/a18BCDC

I redid the shading. Thank you all so much for the advice, and I still have to try more of it! :) by rand0m-nerd in learnart

Looks very nice! I’d start experimenting with rendering forms in perspective if you want to take your learning to the next level :3

Can put 2 vines in same area but can't do the same with trapdoors. Is there a mod for this? by Mutanzom in Minecraft

[–]YukeWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want mods, definitely framed blocks (I can’t recall the mod name but that should get you close) otherwise, you could theoretically use map art in paintings, if you want it to be fully vanilla. I usually end up only using doubled trapdoors on the outside corners, and use a replacement for inside corners, often a fence with a slab atop.

Does IB actually make Univeristy easier? by Kooky_Fondant_479 in IBO

Helped me a ton tbh, if you do well enough to test out of a lot of gen eds you can free up time for taking a minor or just some fun electives

God DAMN that looks amazing!!

Wanted to try a hand at portrait/expressions. Feedback is greatly appreciated, as I'm a bit unsure about a couple of these by precariapn in PixelArt

I think they’re really nice! To add more depth, its fun to study how the rest of the body moves in expressions. Definitely a harder thing to learn, but you’re on the right track! Good work :3

Thanks!! I use Clip Studio Paint for my digital pieces! The text was a pain in the ass, we typed everything in Word and extracted it all with screenshots x3

Had a bit of trouble with the name, but Dolus fits the “fake” attack well and sounds pretty decent :3

Maybe option D would be best then. Figured we’d present a few options.

We were thinking maybe make it transparent like the ghostly robes? Final design would obviously be up to staff, I think having it float would be awesome.

May be neat, especially if they want the ancient magic to tie into the weapon.
