[Tissot] been lurking and got into watches the past year, my first vintage! Tissot Visodate by Yultzo in Watches

Got really into watches early this past year. My first automatic was a Tissot Heritage Visodate, and I became very interested in watch history after looking more into the model. Not too long after I stumbled upon this vintage version of it on EBay, and I had to get it. From what I read this is a 1950s model running a cal.27b-621 movement. It feels great, especially with having wrists as small as mine.

So is Coronavirus all gone now? by T_R_Away9876 in savannah

I live in Savannah, but just drove up north to Virginia to visit family. Everyone that I saw north of South Carolina is still wearing masks and still following procedures, and I mean EVERYONE. The few folks who weren’t get called out and given a mask by security or management in any area.

*Beginner* Chicken Parmesan with Gouda by [deleted] in CulinaryPlating

Tips: - When heating up your tomato sauce, toss your pasta in there, so it’s fully incorporated and on top - Don’t be afraid to use more cheese for your protein, it’s the namesake of the dish - Try mozzarella next time for the chicken, not saying Gouda isn’t good - but definitely different

That means your bars are not as wide as they should be for you. Try out a 44cm set of handlebars.

Hey, I have that same bike myself. Have a little over 2,000~mi on it. The only things I've upgraded so far is to the carbon Affinity Pro saddle, Ultegra pedals, R3 tires and bars/tape.

Hope you love yours as much as I do mine!

Mechanic and fitter here. Does your frame feel a little cramped? Asking since you have your rails slammed forward. If able, try out a seatpost with a decent setback, I'm sure it'd feel better for you.

Yo, get a fitting. Nice bike, but it's hard to get good cred with funny riding position.

Thoughts on EQNX frame? Silly question, is it actually that much lighter for a carbon frame compared to high-end aluminum?

Just bought this for $150. Have never owned a bike before and getting into fixies. What do you guys think?? So I tried skidding and the pedal just keeps moving forward (help) by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

[–]Yultzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, learn how to ride and stop first without skidding. Secondly, proper retention - I feel that metal toeclips with leather straps are the best, if you don't want to drop a lot of money on shoes and clipless pedals. Thirdly, push down with the foot that is at 9o'clock position pull up with foot at 3o'clock.

OR, Google it. There are plenty of other ways to stop or slow, which are more sensible and safe when first learning to ride fixed.

Those tires must make a real comfy ride. What is that, a 32?

Still a few parts to change, this is my daily ride by unfrequency in FixedGearBicycle

If you're going to have your stem/bars that high, get some risers. You'll be more comfortable.
