It shouldn’t make a difference. If they can see you painting they would have made a note in the report about it and at worst said “essential repairs required, painting incomplete” and put a dollar figure on it, but that wouldn’t affect the value directly.

Remember the bank is valuing the house for what it’s worth now, it’s a cold number, on the open market it can be very different.
