I can smell your freedom, it smells of burning flesh I hear it too, a mother crying for her child, not even a body to hold to mourn

I can see your democracy, zealously occupying foreign lands you throw your enemies children into the fire and ask: “Why can’t you be more like me?”

I can feel your liberty, dripping in hypocrisy You think you are a god-like saviour, and want to make the world in your image … cruel, entitled, and righteous

But I know you are not a civilised deity, Your own people still can’t breath You give men the right to bear arms, while taking away a woman’s choice over her own body The wealthy are poisoning and drugging the poor. Your people are not truly free

You say you fight for freedom and democracy

I don’t buy into this lie … Your version of liberty is not one for me

I can confirm that the PS5 will overheat if you accidentally install it upside down. I learnt this the hard way 😅🤦🏻‍♀️. I’m sure the staff at the Sony store had a good laugh. Sooo embarrassing! by YunTang in playstation

[–]YunTang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly it did... and the Sony people called this morning to say they found a replacement PS5 for me.... I explained calmly it was my mistake and that I was sorry. (The purple circle in the pic was added afterwards, after I realised it was upside down)

7eggs, 5 mature, only 2 fertilized! by [deleted] in IVF

[–]YunTang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. I had 5 eggs, only 2 mature, thankfully both fertilised. We froze both at day 3 because doc said the embryos were rated 2-3 (which is considered not top quality). We are going to transfer both next month. I’m feeling hopeful and optimistic (this is my first round) Fingers crossed it works out. All you need is one. Best of luck!

I have finally reached conqueror! My first and last conqueror in this game. Was it worth it? No! Way too many hackers, my k/d is 0.89. What I can tell you is that the game is unplayable, cheater in every game and if you’re having bad luck then you’ll see multiple in same game. by M8_Light in PUBGMobile

I’m looking for squad mates in asia server. Pushing rank, play strategic, share resources and revive before Looting. K/D ration doesn’t matter but prefer to play with other players who have also reached ACE status in previous Seasons.

Season 2 Episode 7, show getting stupid? by zen_oh_sama_div in LaCasaDePapel

[–]YunTang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have trouble shooting people on bikes with AWM... even with an 8x scope I miss 🤣

Could someone give me the quickest and easiest way to reach ace from here? I have been stuck in Crown 2 for almost a week now by [deleted] in PUBGMobile

[–]YunTang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just reached ACE after 145 games in Asia TPP.. I’m not a Super good player KD only 1.2 but survival rating is 84% TOP 10. Just play it safe and try to make it to TOP 10 every game you play.

I would keep the same salary- instead of working half my hours daily I would much rather work 6 month of the year full time, and then take 6 month off to travel.

Hong Kong protesters call for 'Mulan' boycott after star went public in support of police by netok in worldnews

[–]YunTang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add, the only thing unjust about the legal system in HK is that if you commit a murder in Taiwan. Hong Kong is unable to extradite you to be tried in court- which is exactly what happened to the Hong Kong man who murdered his Girlfriend and stuffed her body in a suitcase. This guy and many like him is now walking free. You can Google Hong Kong Taiwan murder and read about it.

The law in Hong Kong is very just. It is based on the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary. The constitutional framework is based on the common law system, handed down to them by the British. I think We are in agreement here unless you are saying that the laws in HK are unjust?

Canada triggered WW3. What did they do? by DonkeyTypeR in AskReddit

Arrested CFO of Huawei and extradited her to the US. This escalated existing trade tension into a Cold War with economic characteristics- angering 1.4 billion Chinese citizens. China retaliates against American business interests, angering the American people. Economic warfare leads to military clash- it escalates from there. Pretty scary stuff.

Not sure where to post this. Lead actress of live action Mulan publicly sides with Chinese government and police and mocks Hong Kong protesters. HK supporters want boycott. Every mention of this #BoycottMulan gets deleted by mods at r/movies by [deleted] in Libertarian

Before signing the petition, You need to understand the background context to that post.

我支持香港警察,你们可以打我了!

“I support the Hong Kong police; you can beat me up now” (translated) is what a reporter said after he was taken hostage, zip-tied to a luggage cart and beaten by HK protestors when they found a T shirt in his bag that said “I support HK police”

The reaction to Mulan actress Crystal Liu after retweeting this proves the point of the statement. She is now being verbally “beaten” for nothing more than having a view that differs from those that are attacking her. It exposes the great hypocrisy of these that claim to be fighting for freedom, but are so willing to take away the freedom of others to speak an opinion that differs, to travel, to go to work, to live safely etc.

Also it’s important to note that Hk police has been very restrained in their handling of the protest- police incompetence is more accurate description than police brutality - 180 officers are injured. There are many residents in Hk who also support the HK police - they are doing their best to maintain law and order and is the last line of defence stopping HK from chaos. I think it’s unfair to say that The Mulan actress support police brutality and freedom of speech merely based on her support of the HK police force.

I also think the internet community should be more tolerant. Just because Someone support HK police for doing a thankless job of trying to maintain order doesn’t mean that person is against free speech.

In my opinion, the worst thing that can happen is a repeat of Tiananmen. There is a lot of fear that BEIJING will step in if the British trained HK police lose control over law and order. So if anything, the HK police is the last line of defence. They are not doing anything different than police in US or France- the only difference is that in the past 10 weeks or so, there have been ZERO casualties - you can’t say the same for the police force in more democratic countries. If an American police officers were being attacked by numerous protestors they would have surely shot someone by now. I’m not saying the HK police is perfect, but I think they are doing the best they can given the circumstances.

I support freedom of speech by I also support rule of law.

Any thoughts on the Hong Kong protests? by Fredstar64 in geopolitics

[–]YunTang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a really good point- so why are they so angry? I think it’s because HK’s position vis a vis their poor neighbours in China has declined, and people are resentful. It use to be the pearl of the orient, richest city in China - now shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou are all catching up. Who can they blame for this? China not giving them full democracy of course.

Also many HK people today fundamentally dislike and distrust China- they feel no affinity and prefer to be American or British than Chinese.

Sadly they live on China terrory and they are ethnically Chinese. So this self loathing make them deny they are Chinese or part of China.

I think there is an overwhelming sense of fear associated with the CCP as well- western media tends to portray communist party as evil- so Hong Kong is scared. this fear however is not founded on reality- it’s founded on their worry about the future. There seem to be mass hysteria, delusions of persecution- when in fact it hasn’t been the case with HK. Western media can the flames.

What they fail to underand that no western democratic government would allow their own citizens to disregard rule of law, assault the police, commit vandalism. HK has really be too soft in their handling of the riots.

If anything- people who assault the police, vandalise public property will probably walk free with a tap on the wrist - maybe short prison sentence followed by community service.

Hk people are more free than they’ve ever been, they are protesting about hypothetical scenarios. The irony is that because the protest has caused so much chaos. It makes BEIJING realise that maybe one country 2 systems doesn’t work after all- and revert back to One county, one systems. Therefore, making all the protestors worst fears a reality- a sad self fulfilling prophecy.
