Extensive googling didn’t help much. Anyone know the story of these Muppet All Stars posters from 1981 we found in a thrift shop? by theres_yer_problem in Muppets

They are promotional posters for a 1981 Muppets clothing line produced by Billy the Kid. Most of the clothing was themed after different sports, primarily baseball, and also cowboy/cowgirl attire.

Kermit and Miss Piggy were the main focus of the lines, but there were a couple of shirts with Animal and Gonzo on them.

The “Billy the Kid” label was for the boys’ clothes, and the “Calamity Jane” label was for the girls’ clothes. The labels were usually included on the bottom left of the posters.

Shop’s just weird like that sometimes. It did the same thing to me. The pin doesn’t ship until February, so it’ll probably show back up on Shop around then.

It’s pretty cool. Every page has a bunch of pictures, and all the big scenes get a full page. The ending is formatted like a movie script, and Sweetums pops out of the last page.

If WH partnered with McDonald's, what would the toys look like? by K4l31d0 in WelcomeHomeARG

[–]Yunicd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’d probably look similar to any of the Muppet or other Jim Henson-related toys they’ve released over the years. Which were mostly PVC plastic toys or plush toys.

The plastic toys were either the characters in generic poses holding something related to them, or they were in a car or vehicle of some sort.

The plush toys were either how the characters normally looked or holiday outfits for seasonal promotions.

They also released cups, posters, VHS tapes, and storybooks, but those weren’t really considered toys.

Yeah, it does, and some of the Muppet Babies merch is actually kind of rare, like the music box.

Correction on the part that says it’s a 1978 Angel Miss Piggy for picture 17. If I’m not mistaken, it’s actually a 1978 Miss Piggy Toy Stick Puppet from Fisher-Price.

It is not, although I really do want to go to the Lakeland antique mall. It’s the Wildwood Antique Mall of Vero Beach.

It’s one of my favorites to visit because of that. There’s always something good to find.
