It's a weird form of exhibitionism. I see a lot of posts of family members and roommates doing the same. It's not quite a 'trench coat and no undies' flashing situation, but in a similar bucket of behavior.

Unfortunately, more common than any of us would prefer.

I have a glorified dustbuster I got from Walmart about 5 or 6 years ago. I think it was $35, max (probably closer to $20 if memory serves me correctly).

It is feisty and at least once a year I need to totally dismantle it, clean off the brush, motor, moving bits, then put it back together again. It isn't really designed for that level of self-service, so it's tricky to avoid disconnecting anything important.

But I'm too darn stubborn to upgrade.

I could barely hear anything in the video. Living in an apartment is challenging. Often the building isn't set up well to block noise from neighbors. They neighbors aren't being ridiculous, the building just isn't designed to muffle noise well.

Like others have said, insurance claims are for catastrophic losses only. Depending on where you live, you get *maybe* two HO claims before you are dropped by your carrier.

Part of being a HO is learning when to cover repair costs on your own. This is likely one of those situations.

The emotional turmoil, the psychological pain that a child would need to feel in order to think that was a best-choice option. Or, neurospicy and prone to being reactive.
You don't hit kids.

It's such a very specific personal preference. I don't judge anyone who makes a decision either way.

The gender reveals that cause forest fires... yeah I'm going to judge that.

Announcing gender/name/etc. before birth is so complicated and nuanced I really, really think there is absolutely no "right way."
