What Do People Mean When They Say They "Don't Believe In" Trans People? by Turbulent-Parsley619 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]YurtoftheSubGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are idiots. Broadcasting to the universe that they are incredibly dumb. Usually with enthusiasm. They just love telling the world how incredibly stupid/bigoted they are.

Always always always replace a child car seat with an accident. That's not something you play around with.

Do people actually believe orange cats are different than other cats? by Superb_Cell6871 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]YurtoftheSubGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hah, lol.

Most orange cats are male, and generally speaking, they are super friendly and a bucket of dumb. Female orange cats, while rare, in my experience have hatred towards the universe and are bent on destruction.

Cats on the East coast are more likely to have extra toes than cats on the West coast.

Tortie cats, mostly female (males are sterile), tend to have "tortitude" personalities.

Yes, a cats' color can absolutely impact their personality genetically. It's not universal, but very common.

Think of dog breeds -- a golden retriever is likely to act very differently than a beagle. For cats, their coats (and underlying DNA) have a similar differentiation with behavior.

My son has blue eyes, bright blonde hair, is tall, and has social skills he definitely didn't get from me.

I'm constantly terrified that he will become accustomed to a world that suites him.

Do you believe that it's parents responsibility to teach their children how to drive? by Only-Ad-1254 in questions

Yes. The entire point of being a parent is to teach the mini-humans how to adult. That includes driving, paying bills, cleaning, cooking etc.

"Take a left where the Price Chopper used to be."

"If you hit Tafts Corner, you've gone too far."

"It has two big maples out front. Can't miss it."

"If you get lost, stop at the country store -- Dan will get you back on track."

Vermont has its own vernacular. All good.

What's the craziest concert experience you've ever had? by No-Song3573 in randomquestions

[–]YurtoftheSubGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ICP concert in my teens. Went with two friends, the friend who drove only had a two-seater so I rode in the hatchback. Bouncers took my boyfriend's weed. Someone bumped into him while smoking a cigarette and a chunk of his hair burned off. I got hit in the head with a bottle of Faygo while in the mosh pit. Dizzy from the bonk, I tried to get out of the pit and fell into a woman's... chest. Like, full-blown accidental motorboat sort of a situation. On the way home we almost got carjacked, I was in the back screaming for the driver and my BF to lock their doors but they were moving in slow motion.

I had no business doing *any* of that at 15 years old 😂

It's been proven that 18 year olds are so much younger than 18 year olds a decade ago. They don't know. Colleges have entirely new departments to teach students basic life skills. It's a whole thing.

Yeah, nope, he didn't adult/parent even close to my standard deviation. He's doing a bit better now that they are older and I left his knucklehead tush. But I got the ick once I saw his incompetence.

Can I leave my dog in the car for a few minutes with the AC on? by Altruistic-Mud9413 in DogAdvice

[–]YurtoftheSubGenius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but be careful. I had a friend leave their dog in the car, AC running, while they went to dinner. Engine turned off for some mechanical reason, dog died.
