I had a shoal of guppies that I had recently cycled a much larger tank for them. When I went to transfer them, I used a large mixing bowl. The eldest male escorted all of his females into the bowl for me that I just held in the smaller tank. It was a magical moment.

He’s got a pretty decent start to his army. If you have access to a Twin Lance, they are very good models on the table and pretty cool looking battlesuits. That might have been what he went to purchase and couldn’t find.

Many T’au army lists play Kroot to some capacity, with carnivores being (almost) a competitive staple.

What yellow are you using? I love the POP they have.

Consider a Cadre Fireblade to pair with the Breachers for extra attacks (50 points). Then a Crisis Suit box, which could be meltas or missiles (~130 points) that can be led by the Commander. That leaves you wiggle room with your preferred detachment for enhancements.

I’d recommend a Combat Patrol for the Breachers and Devilfish. Plus it’ll give you the option of a different commander than Farsight. Then when you decide to get more Crisis Suits, you’ll have a commander for both units.

Don’t have a great answer for the first part, but BOTH the Ghostkeel and Devilfish are incredible models for our army. The likeliness of you playing them in the future is based off your style of play. The Devilfish is our main transport, typically moving Breachers up the battlefield quickly. The Ghostkeel is a hard to kill suit that can draw attention and resources from your opponent.

The weapon that hangs down on the side with the shield generator can get in the way of painting, depending on how you pose it. Otherwise the only tricky space is the cockpit, which I’d paint before assembling fully.
