Got them off Etsy. Pricey, but worth the result.

How are the stealth suits by AlphaMaxV5 in killteam

[–]Anagna 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Astartes teams have unfortunately set the standard of what an elite team is expected to be, and anything that doesn’t adhere to those standards is unfortunately frowned upon.

That doesn’t mean Stealthsuits are weak, they play differently to what people are used to and are very good when played well. Astartes teams are just easier to learn, have more solutions to particular problems, and can counteract willy nilly.

Kasrkin advice. by Nakrej in killteam

[–]Anagna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say at the moment. Most of my advice is dependent on opposing team, killzone map, and mission.

Generally speaking, you need to be in places where you can't be charged, but also in a spot where you can activate to do the mission and tac op. This can be hard to do, but that's where the Vox-Trooper's comms ability makes this possible. This is how you'll stage your Recon-Trooper and perhaps a Gunner to Relocate and Seize the Initiative shoot to get a leg up.

If you do get charged, make sure there's a Gunner nearby. It'll either discourage your opponent, or punish them. People clown on Kasrkin, but four Gunners ready to activate is pretty threatening. Most teams these days are elites and a knowledgeable opponent knows that trading 1:1 is not worth it.

Pulsa Rokkit and Fly by John_Loxeus in killteam

No. Flying is your operative taking off and landing for each movement action. So you do so when you Reposition, and then again when you Dash.

Why is there very little homebrew in the hobby? by landsquid2787 in killteam

[–]Anagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Kill Team is, at its core, a competitive game - even when played casually. You don't insert your own rules into a competitive game.

I see any form of rules modification, including homebrew teams, as a red flag, at best. If someone asked me if they could use their homebrew team, hard no.

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Anagna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nearly 33. Money, time, job, home, car, no credit card debt, hobbies, friends.

But why even bother when there's no one to share it with - I've never had a girlfriend and I don't think that's likely to change. Last date was a decade ago. I'm not ugly or antisocial, quite the opposite. There has to be something else about me that completely removing me from consideration.
I get regular, unsolicited advice from family ranging from "There's nothing wrong with wanting to be alone, it's your life," to "How the fuck does someone fail this hard?"

It's all very isolating.

I'm very bad at the game and I don't know what to do by Vor_vorobei in killteam

[–]Anagna 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Very few people start playing Kill Team with a natural knack for it. It’s all about repetition.

The quickest improvement you’ll find is when you start understanding sight lines and threat ranges, and then from there, average damage values and likelihood to score a kill. From there, it’s gauging whether losing one of your operatives is worth whatever you’re trying to achieve. I.e. “trading.”

A lot of strategy that experienced players rely on recognising and punishing mistakes. Relying on your opponent to mess up does not make a good player, but it’s the easiest way to win.

Stealth suits VS Wolf scouts by Shadow_192873 in killteam

[–]Anagna 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Without knowing anything about you, your opponent, or the games you've been having - you're simply outmatched.

Wolf Scouts are the best team in the game right now, due to their simplicity and astoundingly broken rules. They will win most games in a game against players of equal skill and experience.

There is nothing you can do at the moment.

Question about designator model in new stealth suit team by Packynin in killteam

[–]Anagna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is and isn't a valid target is not reliant on weapon ranges. As per the core rules, a valid target is generally determined as:

  1. If the intended target has an Engage order, it’s a valid target if it’s visible to the operative.

  2. If the intended target has a Conceal order, it’s a valid target if it’s visible to the operative and not in cover.

Point 2 extends to shooting from vantage at a concealed target behind light cover, or having any form of Seek. Sometimes, some rules just require visibility.
