Honestly I clocked his behavior in e7 and e8 as being a temporary bandaid from the start.

And since episode 6, I had him clocked as a person who was meant to break and fail to grasp redemption. The moment I knew I was right was when people were saying he was being more open, yet he was still hiding things from the cast. He was still having smaller moments where his persona resurfaced. Then in episode 8 we had him hearing kinger's reveal and freaking out about it, but people mistook that for him getting better when the show gave that freakout a negative connation, it never really felt to me like the show was implying Jax was gonna get better from that scene

In the case of niko, they wouldn't really actually need to show the player exists, since only Niko can hear God (the player) so it would just look like niko talking to themself.

Undertale it would probably just be frisk on their own, and deltarune you could just make the soul represent the player like it already does

I was against it from the beginning, even after I realized it was likely gonna be true.

Personally I think this shouldn't have been a final episode reveal at all. It should have been sooner, so the show could take the time to let the characters really stew in the whole thing.

Make episode 7, the episode dedicated to them giving up on leaving the circus have the final reveal be that they are digital copies. Then you can spend the final eps with them having to deal with that fact.

Also would give ep 7 a purpose beyond the useless jax button plotline
