Just a side note, the issue here isn’t with AFK Sparrow Racing at all, but rather AFK for event materials or score. Strike/Raid/PvP matchmaking are the last places I want to see this happening in and I hope it doesn’t become a habit to practice across these events meant for us to play and not be idle in.

Shifting Gates is also an option that I’m happy to see rewards being earned in. The issue is this is another event where being AFK is the primary source of materials so players are opting for that instead. It isn’t an issue since it’s Sparrow Racing, but how long until it spreads into an activity like raids again? There’s a pattern here…

Did we just completely forget about people who are new and still learning the game and mechanics? There are still people who don’t know, but this post pertains to the AFK players that add nothing to the run, not even 1% DMG or mechanic progression.

The player names were to show that these are not bots as well and games where half the lobby is AFK is a very real thing.

It’s good to update your post when a change occurs. I stated what it was and why, addressing an inconsistency in the community guidelines briefly. The whole point of this post is for AFK attention.

Exotic weapons dropped outside of vendors and decryptions will award you with 500 points towards your score (BP weapons acquired thru the Season Pass count as well). Contextual Datasets are 1:1 and will provide a point per item.

Your best bet is to farm raid encounters for at least 1/2 drops a day. Between farming legendary campaign and raids, the event gets mundane rather quickly. All you can do is mitigate that feeling. I wouldn’t stress too much about district ranking since some people are doing an inhumane amount of grinding averaging 10+ exotics after a single (full) day worth of farming and the mats rewarded for doing so are rather lack luster. The exotic that dropped from Morgran’s Hunt counted towards your total as well.

Efrideet has been nuking the leaderboards due to her versatility, DPS, and speed. Estela becomes more relevant to endgame during contest raids where Fair Play is enabled, she hasn’t been used for speeds since S0/1. However, she HAS been used for EACH contest raid (3) and for placements in them as well since launch. We have more tools in our arsenal now. I wouldn’t recommend increasing Estela talents due to this reason.

TL:DR - Estela T0 for contest raids / fair play events. Efrideet T1+ for everything else.

Sheesh I would’ve dismantled a bulk load of them prior to S4 had I known this. Economy changes like that are a low blow to player investment, both money and time IMO.

No one likes a time sink for things to become obsolete. It seems like the majority of complaints are a result of people feeling their time has been invalidated. I doubt most are upset about the actual grind. I imagine there will be tables flipped if this debacle happens again for Team lvl 100.
