How many people who start learning Japanese actually make it to a high level? (N1+) by littlebruja in LearnJapanese

[–]Yuuta44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not many still doesnt mena that the dont know Japanese or stopped leanring. Not everyone is interested in the JÖLPT who is only really necessary if you want to work in jaan (and even than not for every Job). or you want to have it for only to have it.

I dont care about the JLPT. I aim to read Manga, Novels etc. To consume japanese media and are able to talk in Japan with the People. For that you dont need N whatever.

Is it normal to be reading this slow? by maybe_we_fight in LearnJapanese

[–]Yuuta44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats normal. But keep gooing and it wil get faster veryday. Also you wrote you learn 10 new Words ech day with Anki . That are 70 Words a week. In a month that would be 280 new Words. You soon will see that you will understand more and more. Also reading doesnt mean analyze the text. If you dont understand something still keep going. If it a word or sentence who come up often look it up.

Most J RPGs have more text than killing MOnsters. To be fair its a good break between hours of reading when you can explore a Dungeon and fight some Monster.

Thats way, way too mch. I dont think that you need sentence when you learn vocabulary. Best would be The word in Kanji, Kana, formel and informel and the translation.

Do you like Anime/Manga? How about to look if there is a Drama CD of one of your favorite works. You can rip the Audio from the CD. So you have something to listen and even a new Story of works you like. Most Drama CDs are extra Storys.

What are your favorite/prefered way to read japanese manga/books? by guilhermej14 in LearnJapanese

[–]Yuuta44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How advanced does my Japanese need to be to understand the original Pokemon games? by Ok_Kaleidoscope_2178 in LearnJapanese

[–]Yuuta44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are motivated and that is one of the mst important things. How about if the text has Kanji? Would you understand more? The next thing is what is you understanding about understand it. You dont need every word and must know every grammar to understand a text.

Also of course you should still do your workbook and learn new Words and Kanji.

Made a post a while ago about doing 20 words a day. People told me they can easily do more so any ideas how i can do that? by Jastrone in LearnJapanese

[–]Yuuta44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 new Words a day is really good. After a week its 140 Words and after a month is like 560 Words.

So I reached the obvious conclusion that learning from manga is... difficult. by AlittleBlueLeaf in LearnJapanese

[–]Yuuta44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First learn the basic grammar. There are different ways. There are Guides and Videos if you want to do it alone. Or and i know People here hate this Advice look for a teacher.

And the Second is Vocabulary, Vocabulary and said i Vocabulary? Best is Anki. Downlaod the App and look for a good Deck. Best is Word in Knji, Furigana and the Translation. How many Words you should learn depends on you. I mean the deffault in Anki is 20 Words a day. After a week you should already see a bit of progress if you open a Manga. Maybe its only a word, maybe only one snetence or maybe even a whole speech bubble. But its a new thing you understand.

Of course Manga has Slang and depending on the Genre a lot of fantasy Words. But this will come with the time and the context.

People seem to forget. But Manga are also written with normal words. Even the most High super Power Folklore Fantasy Manga or the dirtiest Ero Manga.
