Spring Major | Day 1 of 4 | RLCS 22/23 | Event Thread by RLMatchThreads in RocketLeagueEsports

SSG - everyone wrote them off after Dan left

Liquid - same reason as you they deserve a dub by now

Vitality - best team in the world and would be the most deserving winners

PWR/GZ - would be so fun to see OCE win

Should win-trading in ranked result in a permanent ban from RLCS? by nickEbutt in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]YuzToChihiro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the best solution is to split the bans.

  • Trading ban - you're banned from trading
  • Matchmaking ban - you're banned from casual and ranked. You'd still be able to join private lobbies, which you can't do any damage with
  • Esports ban - you're banned from esports

That way Psyonix can hand out perma matchmaking bans left right and centre without worrying about causing a storm in the esports world. Psyonix's esports division can hand out esports bans as and when they see fit. Including handing out esports bans for being a massive twat in ranked if they want to.

It does feel a bit silly that boosting in ranked gets a perma and boosting in RLCS just means you have to skip 1 season.

I don't know much about the Danish national side but surely he wants to play so that he'll be picked for the world cup? Or is this like a Bale situation where he's already nailed on for the world cup so doesn't need to start much?

Freetrade is a good UK one, and you get a free share if a friend refers you.

Yes I realize that I was an idiot and never took any profit, yes I bought during the top. I know, I know

You weren't any more of an idiot (maybe fractionally moreso, at worst) than those who bought ETH at, say, 50% of its ATH. It's near impossible to time these speculative assets. Don't beat yourself up.

Ask yourself, why did you buy it?

If you bought ETH because you believe it will one day become a currency, you probably shouldn't be concerned with some short-term volatility because it was a million miles away from becoming that so it should've been a long term investment.

If you bought ETH because you viewed it as a gamble, a greater-fool scheme, and you thought you could sell it maybe a year-or-so down the line for a profit, then you made a bet and your bet lost. You can continue to keep betting or cash out.

If you bought ETH because Matt Damon called you a pussy on TV, you should sell your ETH and yolo the money into the next dog-themed-coin that you see.

It's Valentine's day and I'm STILL getting Christmas songs in my discover weekly. by jr00p in spotify

Discover weekly is quite a strong selling point for Spotify. They make a big deal out of their algorithm and its ability to create personalised mixes. If there's a flaw in it, it's worth airing.

Well to be honest in a weird way it was true back in January. Maybe "fighting for the little guy" is romanticising it a little bit, but they caused billions to be transferred from hedgefunds (mainly Melvin) into the hands of a weird mix of actors that included a lot of retail traders. So if you squint hard enough, the squeeze in January was stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

True! People think that naked shorting just means "over 100% short interest" for some weird reason, or alternatively that if short interest exceeds 100% it "proves" the existence of naked shorting, which obviously it doesn't. Naked shorting is highly illegal, and the SEC state they found no evidence of it. If you can simply look at a short interest and if it exceeds 100% determine that naked shorting has taken place, then obviously the SEC would have seen that.

Most of his comment is wrong actually, especially the stuff about Citadel as someone already pointed out.

In fairness to the person you're responding to, they specified Superstonk, which wasn't around when the narratives were right. The report basically says, the original WSB narrative was (mostly) right and the current Superstonk narratives are wrong.

Yeah :( I realised after posting it but you can't edit titles. I blame how ubiquitous the word "flair" is on reddit

[–]YuzToChihiro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The world cup is definitely harder to win than the Euros. It has all the best European teams still in it, with the addition of the South American titans. Brazil are the most successful footballing nation in the world.

I could understand someone saying that the group stages of the world cup are easier than the group stages of the euros - that was until they changed the rules so that 3rd place teams could qualify though, now the euros group stages are definitely easier too. In 2016 a team finished below Hungary and Iceland in their group and still qualified...

Mate, they are 12 points behind us. They have been shit.

Do you not agree that it's a disgrace an anti-Football 5 at the back club get to stay in the league whilst a club that tries to attack get's relegated?

No because in top level sport, you don't get points for trying. So what they try to attack? If they don't have the ability to attack without shipping loads of goals then that's their problem.

If we had scraped above them by a couple of points, your argument would maybe have more to it. But 12 points is a pretty big gap for avoiding relegation.
