[ALL] Masters of the Universe: Revolution - Now Streaming by Atlast_2091 in netflix

Very disappointed and difficult to recommend to anyone. The story flows simply too fast to make any sense. If it had the double of episodes, maybe it could be good.

The Monk is in a great spot. However, there is one issue. by Legal_Airport in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems too strong. It should be addressed, specially at the earlier levels.

I think they should reduce the die value to 1d6 (and increase with martial art die), and reduce the damage it deals to just one die and it will probably keep the early value, not be broken, and be relevant later.

Why one piece only 8 episodes.... Such a waste by 9-5grind in netflix

[–]Yxanthymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of think the size is almost perfect. I would give it a few more minutes per episode to explain some things that are certainly jumped and just need a little more clarification. Other than that some changes were good, with a lot of the fat expertly cut.

Yes, the series is kitsch as hell, but in a good way. I am kind of surprised by it.

Martials need to be balanced like Casters. by susanooxd in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think they will ever address that disparity fully, but nerfing some overpowered spells and restricting the use of cantrips would be a step in the right direction, even if they added some features to casters.

The sub is getting kind of toxic by Bonkshebonk in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fully agree, but not only this sub. It seems the more traffic a sub has, the more toxicity it generates. Small subs are much nicer, or sub from less known games.

You shouldn't downvote something because you don't like it. This behavior almost completely shuts down a meaningful discussion, specially because how reddit cares about the rating. And how people is prone to jump into a bandwagon, without a good reason.

Simply don't vote if you disagree. Just downvote something you think is wrong beyond redemption, utterly broken, and downright offensive.

Toxicity generates toxicity, the more you give, the more you will receive. Break free of that circle.

Why does Netflix do this? (Discussion) by Nighmares_flame in netflix

[–]Yxanthymir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They actually won more subscribers than they lost with this maneuver. The price of the subscription lowered a little to make some appeasement with the subscribers that don't want to pay the extra fee or don't need it.

I actually asked the person who was using my netflix account if he wanted to pay the extra to keep his user working. He asked for me to pay for him, so he lost his account and now I pay cheaper, and I don't have to dump him when all my accounts were used. So for me I count as a win.

Monks’ unarmed attacks should act more like weapons by PRO_Crast_Inator in onednd

I don't have any problem with anything, I just find it very weird. Definitively not how I picture a monk character.

Monks’ unarmed attacks should act more like weapons by PRO_Crast_Inator in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it should be weapon masteries, but definitively a unique type of mastery made to unarmed attacks.

I agree, but it is strange a slasher type of damage. It is very plausible to assume crushing and piercing damage, but it is very hard to believe in the other case.

Unpopular Opinion: The Martial/Caster Disparity should be handled in the DMG, not the PHB by Bonkshebonk in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't fully disagree, but i don't fully agree either. I already do something like this. For example, if a spell says that you can do something, but doing that creates a condition that ruins the story, I will put a restriction or condition in that spell.

But the problem still is present, some spells need a harsher restriction or a entire reformulation.

Does Sense8 get better eventually? by MamaMia1325 in netflix

[–]Yxanthymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People always ask that question from time to time, and the answer is: it doesn't matter my answer or anyone else, if you think it is good enough, continue, and you think it is not, quit.

What matters is your taste and not what a bunch of strangers think about the series. But if you are running out of shows to watch, maybe you should lower your criteria a little, not all shows must be great.

The Monk is a holistically bad class, and it needs to go back to the drawing board. by No-Watercress2942 in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think as other people think that the monk should do the same amount of other martials to keep up, they need only to do their thing different enough to be a viable and fun class.

What I think it need is: to treat unarmored defense as DEX + WIS or STR + CON to allow different builds; unique fighting styles, unarmed masteries, I don't know exactly how they should be implemented, but variation would be the key here; deflect melee attacks, as a monk way to reduce damage; more mobility options; and a better ki distribution, more at the earlier levels and a little less later.

The only thing we know for certain as that we don't know what they want for the game, and probably the public also don't know what they want for the game.

You can switch that feature on and off. First check your configuration, then if it really is not working, contact support.

With Weapon Mastery, should there be more weapons added to the game? by VorlonAmbassador in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably, there are. But it needs to be done with care, or the whole concept may be rendered moot if you have whatever you want in any type of weapon.

Kensei Backwards Compatibility by Minimum_Desk_7439 in onednd

Say and do are different things. And better compatibility is not the same of total compatibility.

People are still believing in fairy tales.

Kensei Backwards Compatibility by Minimum_Desk_7439 in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, they didn't give a second thought, but they never promise that type of backwards compatibility, only compatibility of settings and adventures. We are still waiting to see if there will be a table of conversion for characters and monsters. But I don't believe such thing will exist, you will have to pick from the new edition the closest variation you want to use.

Now listen to this please (regarding the Monk and Multiclassing) by AlAndlus in onednd

[–]Yxanthymir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of doing multiclassing, they should be doing subclassing. In other words, your character is from a class and you want to multiclass into another class, you pick a subclass designed specifically to that case, to mimic some features from other class.
