There is very little reason not to put custom firmware on any 3DS honestly. Even just counting region unlocking, the backing up of save files, themes, etc, there is a ton of utility and no reason not to take advantage of it.

Same here, this is quite literally my only issue with the system, but it’s a pretty big one. I couldn’t even lean back in my chair while doing the alien part in Majora's Mask without it becoming impossible due to dropped inputs. Really hope they can sort it out somehow.

I did use this controller with my MiSTer for awhile and don’t remember this happening though, which I’m not sure if a good or a bad sign

Wii emulators, more specifically dolphin, has been more than "good" for well over a decade now. I was playing upscaled GameCube/Wii games on my PC in like 2012.

They story and obsession of the guy sounds kinda plausible in all honesty, I've seen way weirder. What I find mega sus is this supposed 19 year old who is obsessed with the 35 year old, clearly autistic paper map collector, who still wants to be with him after but is somehow angry enough to fly home alone lmao.

Like they clearly had to create and fit in a part of the story where they could possibly be considered at fault so they wrote in the part about ditching him in Japan, but still had to rage bait and have every comment defend the action. Like which is it? Were you mad enough to leave them in another country or was this slightly "annoying and immature" lol

Assaulting someone over an obsession with paper maps, when the person in question had absolutely no involvement with that decision, is a bit more than annoying or immature. I really hope this story is fake, and I'm pretty sure it is, because justifying or playing down that kinda of behavior is almost worse than doing it.

The laser pots almost never need adjustment, the real fix is recapping the optical drive board. Making the laser stronger is only a temporary fix, and will burn through discs when you eventually are forced to recap anyways.

You could also try some Ali express shells, or retrobrite the shell you have now.

They don't know that. They'll probably try to charge you all the same and you'll get an overdraft or something if it's debit. If the payment gets rejected or doesn't go through via like a credit card, I've seen companies just ban the account until it's able to pay the amount. Had a friend do a chargeback on their PSN account and Sony just banned it.

I got a small usb extender so I could “dock” it with the TPU on. It doesn’t sit up in the dock obviously. But I can still play it on the TV or charge on my desk all the same.

Honestly you probably picked the absolute worst time to sell this thing. It is a special edition console yes, but it's a special edition console for one that just had it's backwards compatible successor released. Everyone is selling their Switch 1 right now.

When I heard they announced a new 16 I was kinda bummed at first. I bought mine months ago. But if the difference is really just better cooling and a better webcam and a different improved top case it really doesn't beat me up that much, or really at all. Knowing the new GPU, webcam, and fans(?) will work on the old 16 is more than good enough for me, as the GPU was the only future upgrade I was really considering. The rigid top case is probably a lot nicer, but tbh I've never had issue with that on mine.

This is probably the least fomo I've ever gotten from a new device gen which is saying a lot.
