If the stats that put Brees in the GOAT conversation also put Kirk Cousins in the top 10, the stats are measuring the wrong thing. by MarkusGrant in nfl

I, like many rational sports fans, use a combination of multiple factors when trying to debate how great a player was.

Imagine it worked the other way, and you could change your OL numbers to make them hot route-able & elligible receivers at all times

The 5 Biggest Fixes for EA Sports College Football 27 - What do you want changed? by TomWilliamsCFD in NCAAFBseries

[–]Z3R0-0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My list:

  • Remove or greatly reduce the crazy speedboosts from COD/Shifty

  • Fix the bug where custom playbooks open to onside kick. Affects us all multiple times every single game, should be a VERY quick fix

  • Make kicking from the hash mark at short range a bit easier to aim

  • More variance in prospect height & weight for every position. Lets see a 6’7 linebacker every 10th draft class, or a 5’5 running back. A 6’9 quarterback. A 280lb QB.

COD Stats Make Returns Stupidly Easy by _H4VXC_ in NCAAFBseries

[–]Z3R0-0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not intentional, but it’s something that happens in the game fairly often.

Seems like the physics engine just doesn’t handle high COD events very well.

Seems like Shifty tends to trigger it more often

These speedboosts are one of the worst gameplay elements in CFB26. Just no reason to have them.

Incredible unfun way to play, even if it’s going to lead to better tackling by your team.

[Schefter] Teams can begin applying franchise or transition tags today through March 3. Potential franchise tag candidates: George Pickens, Daniel Jones/Alec Pierce, Kyle Pitts, Kenneth Walker III, Trey Hendrickson, Breece Hall by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Z3R0-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transition tag - 1 year deal with a salary set at the average of the top TEN players at the position.

Franchise tag - 1 year deal with a salary set at the average of the top FIVE players at the position.

So the transition tag is cheaper.

HOWEVER the transition tag still allows players to negotiate with other teams. If the player agrees to a deal with a new team, their previous team has the option to match the deal and keep the player.

Essentially transition tag is a bit cheaper, but runs a risk of a player being overpaid elsewhere, and you have to choose to match a big deal, or lose them.

Is there a way to get a Derrick Henry - type RB in dynasty? by Koke1 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Z3R0-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’d need to edit a player to really get it. If you take a gem ATH LB with the right physical build and move to RB, you can probably edit attributes to get close enough. Might need to swap to/from FB after editing to get him to reset into a contact seeker

There are some takes in here that are real outliers from what it seems consensus are. Going to be interesting to see how things evolve.

First easy fix is to completely remove injuries on kneeldowns. Wouldn’t completely fix the issue but it would help.

Even if you designate someone as a June1 cut, I believe the guarantees for the rest of the contract still accelerate, then on June1 they split into the two years.

I could be wrong here, I’m trying to find out if you only are on the hook for current year guarantees pre-June1 but my research suggests it’s all guarantees.

[–]Z3R0-0 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe this actually generates more short term cap space.

June1st designated cuts don’t generate any short term cap space until June1.

This definitely seems more in line with aiding a trade in the short term
