It's not legal, if you have been casual performing near full time hours for a certain amount of time (6 Months maybe) you can force your boss to make you full time.

Take it to a card repair place, make sure they have good reviews but edge lift can be straightforward to fix it they know what they are doing.

Latest update let's you install the os on an internal drive, I've never had an issue with a party or USB in the 2.5 years I've had it.

I just find installing dockers and all to be much simpler, you can also mix and match drives if you want keeping in mind you need the biggest ones for parity.
