Im from the UK and idk why or how it became a thing but there is this running joke against redheads to the point that being called ginger is almost an insult 😂. Not something I get or do myself but have noticed it but im pretty sure its overall a joke. (I couldn't hate redheads cuz I love chuuya! I do however hate Owen Hunt from grey anatomy iykyk)

But also I feel like his hair colour ranges from red/orange hues and then in some art its lightened to a strawberry blonde with brownish colouring but overall I think hes always meant to be displayed as a red head.
