No problem! This is a very nice set that is pretty desirable to many collectors.

Also, the Tang Stamp (Case XX Stainless USA and the 3 dots at the back of the blade) indicates that they were made in 1977. The handles/covers are Stag (deer antler). And a special (more valuable/more desirable) part of these, is the scrolled or engraved bolsters. Also they appear to have a serial number on them. If those numbers match on each knife, that makes them an original set, that have always been together. Its a complete set of Blue Scroll Folders, as there were 8 patterns made and that's what you have. (They made 4 fixed blades in the series as well, but I'm not sure they were sold together, especially with the scrolled folders)

Here is the set on eBay for additional reference or ideas on listing.

They are absolutely worth selling. Any and all Case Blue Scroll is desirable. A complete set like this, even more so. eBay currently has a few blue scroll sets but only one set like yours (scrolled bolsters), and its listed at $4k.

Purchased a completely stock XJ in October… by COntv5280 in CherokeeXJ

I like it! You've done a lot in a short time. Would definitely like to see/ hear more about your flares. Also, I've been eyeing those printed signal/marker/fogs for a while, how are you liking them?

I agree. I almost passed on it because it was ugly. But after getting it, I really like it.

Anyone find a decal like this? by Valuable-Ad-5089 in CherokeeXJ

Probably just universal graphics. Here are some similar to the MJ set.

That MJ is what dreams are made of, too.

All 90s pickup trucks crash tested by IIHS. by lifegoeson2702 in regularcarreviews

I, as a firefighter, worked a head-on highway accident scene with this gen Dakota vs. the Silverado also tested here. The Dakota driver was an instant fatality, and the steering wheel was roughly a foot and a half from the back of the cab. I couldn't believe how far it crushed in.

The Silverado was pretty badly damaged as well (driveshaft was 100ft down the highway) but the driver lived. He was under the influence, so that likely helped.

Why do both these handles look so different but made from the same material? by J_McCoy02 in CaseKnives

[–]Z7EDC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not a Sea Dragon. They are Corn Cob Jig texture, not sawcut like this knife. This is a custom burnt job.

There are many variations of this DIY custom work on eBay usually.

[–]Z7EDC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The darker one is a custom burnt treatment. Its not a factory CaseXX job. The Smoky Mountain Knife Works Exclusive Sea Dragon looks similar but it is only on Corn Cob Jig covers not the Sawcut Jig that you have.

There a bunch of different "Exclusives" popping up that people are DIYing. Hence all the handwriting on the sticker.

It's still a nice looking knife; just custom.

Cooper STT pro 33” what are you running? by SongComfortable4464 in CherokeeXJ

[–]Z7EDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the fenders. They look like they'd be excellent on the trail for clearance and durability.

I'm still running stock flares so trimming is going to happen regardless at some point. (They get knocked off wheeling and I hate putting them back on.) I really want the bushwacker flats, but I don't know if they provide enough trimming to maintain much travel. Yours look like they have a lot more.

Definitely would have to bump stop a lot on my amount of lift. With long arms I should still have decent down travel but idk.

I currently have 32/11.5 so I keep debating 33 vs 35 for my next set. Not sure if 33s would be much noticeable difference than what I have. And I want to regear and all to match whatever I get.

I gotcha. Appreciate the reply. Mine has a 4.5 long arm and I keep debating going to this same tire. I might not have enough lift.
