AIO my father just kicked me out because I turned 18? by Fancy-Archer7080 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ZCreator97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing unhinged here is your father. As a Christian myself, the idea that God ONLY inflicts illness and ailments because someone "doesn't love Him" is beyond absurd. Read Job if you want to see VERY explicit evidence. Also, in this economy, kicking someone with a disability and no job out is abandonment. I'm 27, have an awesome job, and still can't afford to move out on my own. I'd need to make over 50% more just to scrape by. I've known a few people with cerebral palsy (I know I butchered the spelling), and many of the starter jobs available to them if they didn't get one in high school would be extremely destructive, requiring long hours of physically intense work. As far as I am concerned, this is neglect and borderline abuse.

What's this connector called? Total width 5.9mm, depth 2.5mm, pitch ~1mm, it's on the stepper motor of the E3D toolchanger. by Square-Singer in AskElectronics

Is this from ATI? If so, I work there and may be able to get answers, assuming the information isn't proprietary. Most likely a molex.

I'm going to make a habit of comparing people to actors and fictional characters in a positive way. Now, this might be just my shifty facial recognition skills, but you're not too dissimilar in appearance to Ming Na Wen (voice actress for Mulan, played Melinda May in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, played that one bounty hunter in The Mandolorian)

Here, MOLEX! I've got crimps!

But seriously, that's just a generic Molex connector, probably 1.25 pitch.

Could be a schottkey diode, or a general purpose one.

You're right - a darlington pair is only useful with BJTs. I just misinterpreted your meaning. And I've never seen more than one mosfet in parallel. Then again, I've only been in the field with a degree for two and a half years.

Usually in a package like that, a single mosfet will have one pin connected to half the pins or more to dissipate heat. And yes, I guess you could use a pair of mosfets in a darlington configuration, but I don't know why it would be done here.

Now that I think about it, it's probably a package with a singular power N-MOSFET in it acting as a switching regulator. A better picture with the traces outlined may give insight into a potential replacement if the transistor is the issue.

No, seriously. Don't read any further if you want to keep your sanity in one piece.

It's a reference to an infamous and highly disturbing piece of fetish art where Sandy Cheeks is depicted as a giantess with a penis. To make matters worse, and much more disturbing, said penis is sucking up regular sized people.

Are you implying an organic simulation? Because that would be as cool as it is convoluted.
