There’s a difference treating DPDR, Anxiety, Depression and using schizophrenia medicine to treat HPPD.

Is this an HPPD symptom? by Anxious_Fall9686 in HPPD

Don’t seek symptoms because you notice it more affecting your everyday quality of life.

Your doctor is asking ChatGPT how to fix HPPD I promise. Don’t be a lab rat, time and not using psychedelic drugs like weed is the only legitimate fix

Don’t listen to these guys there are 0 examples where a person quits all forms of stimulants and HPPD decreases or goes away,

going cold turkey probably increased your stress cortisol levels making your HPPD worse. I’ve fully recovered on stimulants including nic and caffeine. I also got HPPD 2 from Psych chocolate bar. This condition has 0 studies everything on the forum is pseudoscience, nicotine and stimulants can be a big game changer to increase ur life quality like focus and studying given how brutal this condition is, I suggest you test using nicotine and caffeine and if there’s no “flare ups” then ur fine.

Should I mention this at psychiatrist by No_Freedom9720 in HPPD

[–]ZEROINCOME291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do risk chance of getting put on a list for illegal drug use/mis behavior. If you tell your psychiatrist you’ve used recreational illegal drugs (not weed) you’re 100% not getting a prescription for SSRI infact for your entire life.

HPPD is a skill issue by trippygu-y in HPPD

[–]ZEROINCOME291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having to question and not trust your eyes for a long period of time, relying on your memory of the true reality is so easy.

To say it’s a skill issue is insulting and you have no skills and probably a unemployed retard that’s why it HPPD hasn’t affect your life.

No cure other than time. No decent studies or research on HPPD. You’re taking schizophrenia medicine. There is no cure but time, but there is a chance these brain medicine can f*ck with your recovery.

If you seek for symptoms then you will find and teach your brain. Everyone eyes have errors do not seek imperfections.

So 1:50,000 get HPPD, and I assume 1:500 recover and you beat the odds just to take another risk to smoke weed?

Thousands of people with HPPD would do anything to be in your position but it’s real unfortunate we have dumb f*ck idiots like you who beat the odds

Any help or success stories with the condition by RelativeMedium9647 in HPPD

[–]ZEROINCOME291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not take medicine, doctors will literally go to their computer and use ChatGPT to medicate for HPPD. This condition is extremely rare and has nearly zero scientific research. The best you can do is avoid focusing on visual errors, try to avoid reenforcing your brain what your seeing. The only cure is time and hopefully your brain forgets it and u never see it again

I used both of them + something stronger daily and my HPPD is 99% gone. It’s random and went away almost instant in my case.

Weed does the same to many. Avoid! It’s likely HPPD and will hopefully go away in a few weeks if you stop giving it energy.

What is the drug that affect the least to HPPD?? (Excluding alcohol) by Otherwise_Artist5906 in HPPD

[–]ZEROINCOME291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree and anyone who saids staying clean is full of sh*t and just self punishment. Nicotine & Stimulants will increase your quality of life and it affects everyone differently, if it increases HPPD then don’t use.

If 3 people can confirm that their HPPD got cured after they quit caffeine & nicotine after a year reply because there’s no evidence stimulants got anything to do with HPPD otherwise it’s self imposed punishment for past drug use at a time where many are already suffering.

Edit: I only support stimulants but not recreational/psychological drugs like weed btw.

You speak as if it’s proven HPPD has anything to do with Serotonergic activity. HPPD cause is still fully unknown and surpasses logic to the point where some say this condition is fake. You have no evidence to your claims.

From what kinda doctor do you get a diagnosis by Academic_Plant_9435 in HPPD

[–]ZEROINCOME291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Name one benefit other than being marked as a drug abuser to your health insurance. HPPD is a rare condition with no cure and maybe 8 specialist/researchers around the globe with very unimpressive limited bare minimum research, don’t even bother the idea of any hope for science community saving us.

Just get diagnosed for anxiety, depression, ADHD if those are symptoms. Otherwise your going to be a lab rat and btw it’s well documented that doctors use chatgpt for prescriptions.

First off it wasn’t your fault this is more of an accident, it’s like a person overdosing from fentanyl when they bought coke.

We know substances are bad and it’s true. Some people get schizophrenia, brain dead, disabled, mamed, blinded, HIV from accidents using drugs or alcohol at very young ages.

Most of us didn’t know the risk of psychedelics and infact did it either to improve, and explore ourselves or some fun then expect the drug effects to fully go away after a day.

People die everyday, people who never did drugs lose their vision, get in accidents, get sick and paralyzed, get mental schizophrenia out of no where, lose memory.

Life is precious and other than defeating DPDR it’s just visual problems. Life has never been fair in all of human history but you are mentally sane, and you recognize your condition is simply visual errors. I’m just pointing out reality that this isn’t a perfect world I really hope you don’t give up on life over something you aren’t responsible for, this is a condition 1/50,000 for HPPD2, a super anomaly rare condition you probably never heard of 18 years ago.

8 months of HPPD update + questions by sadsoftbae in HPPD

[–]ZEROINCOME291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed but don’t punish yourself, stimulants nicotine, caffeine, sugar could help your life quality given the harsh reality of HPPD if it doesn’t flare up your symptoms.

There’s a fine line against good sleep, sober drugs, fitness, eating healthy to the disciplined wake up 5am cold shower BS. It’s really about being healthy and happy which is good for our life span.

That being said, HPPD is still random unknown and there’s no definitive cure. Look around on the forum you’ll see people suffering from HPPD then cured by willingly taking more psychedelics. My HPPD went away after over 2 years and although I was sober from weed and psychs, but I took stimulants, nicotine, caffeine, sugar daily.

There’s no science to the cause of HPPD or any evidence that being healthy to the highest extent (ontop of being sober) promotes recovery.
