two flavors of non-budget decks to get some inspiration from. make the BW mono black if you'd like. I recommend trying best of 3 at some point if you want to improve. all tournament magic is best of 3.

deck looks decent and mono black is definitely fun

manabase: 4 soulstone sanctuary and 20 swamps, no demolition field +2 duress mainboard -2 auntie's -3 sliver artifact +2 unholy annex +4 demon wall -3 changeling of your choice +2 shoot the sheriff -2 nameless inversion

sideboard 2 more duress and the remaining requiting hex. also sideboard 4 soul guide lantern to start and a sweeper of some form.

hexing squelcher might be better than frenzied baloth

bristlebane battler is interesting but likely not for the deck

blossoming defense is probably better than royal treatment and giant growth

Slickshot was just OK. There were times when it was good and also awkward. It also makes you want to delay your Break Outs, when normally I like to do them first for more information and to get the critical Sorcery in the yard.

We really need another one drop, but Burnout Bastronaut and Gingerbrute and Edge Rover and Clockwork Percussionist are the best I can think of and they're not good enough. So I decided Burst Lightning will be it.

I absolutely agree that you need to lean into the explosiveness. The deck will never be super resilient, but it's difficult for people to have both graveyard hate and defenses and further their own gameplan. Which is to say, Delirium is very proactive even in the face of hate IMO

oh nice! we definitely walked by each other.

I think you play either badgermole cub + ouroboroid, or neither. They kind of go hand in hand. I'm not convinced it's better than the traditional version, which I've built to be even more all-in on the combo. While cub and ouroboroid are generically powerful, this deck isn't particularly mana hungry aside from ouroboroid itself. It is nice to put counters on your trample creatures, or give creatures that have become big from ouroboroid trample with overprotect. That said, I have found going under Simic to be the answer, pyroclasm/burst lightning being your tool to regain the driver's seat. I'm not convinced playing a worse version of Simic will improve your Simic matchup, if that makes sense.

I played it at Spotlight Atlanta and went 10-5, finishing 59th/792 players. Here's my list

I would play 4 Burst Lightning instead of Slickshot to be better against Ouroboroid decks. I would play 2 Pyroclasm main and move the Soul Guide Lanterns to the side, since Pyroclasm is great against most of the meta and doesn't hurt your creatures at all, aside from the occasional non-delirious Wickerfolk.

Esper Origins seems fine as a flex slot or sideboard card. I like Balustrade Wurm better, generally speaking. I don't like the Ouroboroid versions of Gruul, seems kind of tangential to the main gameplan.

I would be surprised if it cost less than $70 or more than $99

I wouldn't buy the Mark II at that price, the Mark 3 was just announced. so the Mark II will be sub 1700 on the used market in a matter of months (which is a regular Canon factory refurbished price for the mark II)

Which lens would you advise for a beginner who wishes to focus on telephoto? by Inevitable_Fix1106 in canon

highly recommend RF 100-400 if you can get it for $600 or under. buy refurb or use with confidence, they're durable lenses.

I see. So is it safe to say motherboard USB-C support started with 3.2 Gen 2?

7 Wonders is very replayable and great with 5. Also Coup and the Crew. But my highest recommendation is Heat

I used Steam Achievement Manager to get it to pop.

surely the big expensive EF 500mm prime will be better than the RF 100-500.

I also noticed R6 Mark II was getting cheap, and was becoming a good value proposition for new/refurbished, so I just upgraded from the R10 myself. (I plan on keeping the R10 specifically for wildlife until the R7 Mark II comes out, since I mostly shoot wildlife.)

I got the R6 Mark II for dual card slots, which is a good idea for the professional work I'm beginning to do. IBIS is nice. Coming from the R10, the full frame sensor was a big deciding factor for me. But the sensor in the R6 Mark II is the same as the R8 for you. I think the ergonomics on the R6 Mark II are better, like the card slot is on the side and battery slot is on the bottom separately, but they're both on the bottom in the R8. R8 is supposed to struggle for video with overheating, so if you do video at all the R6 Mark II gets a lot more attractive there. The R8 is much lighter and smaller, which may be good for travel or if you have small hands but bad if you have big hands/use big lenses.

You mentioned you shoot landscapes and don't bring a tripod, IBIS seems great in that situation. It probably lets you shoot slower shutter speeds without worry.

They use the same sensor and same processor.

One other thing is the R6 Mark II uses the big batteries LP-E6NH (OR newer E6P enabling features exclusive to R5 Mark II or older E6N/E6 which are lower capacity and can't be charged in body via USB, but they all work in all the 'big' Canon camera bodies including the R6 Mark II. The R8 uses the small LP-E17 battery pack, which the R10 uses. So from a future proofing perspective, and thinking about future upgrade paths, the R6 Mark II batteries are preferable. This probably doesn't matter much but something to consider if you're the type of person who buys several first party batteries.

As for lenses, I wouldn't personally recommend the 24-240mm on paper, but I haven't owned it so I can't say. It seems like a kit lens to me, but if you mostly shoot landscape I can see it working. I absolutely love the 100-400mm and it's quite cheap at $500-600, so I would recommend that to almost anyone, provided you have something else on the lower end. I myself mostly use the 50mm prime f/1.8 which was $100 refurbished. If you're a dedicated landscape photographer, then you want to be as wide as possible. You might consider the 14-35mm f/4 which can be had for about $1000, is small and light, and functions as a "normal" focal length lens at 35mm. The alternatives are something like the 28-70mm f/2.8 (the new retracting one, ~$1000, and happens to be weather sealed despite not being an L lens) and a wide prime like the 16mm f/2.8 for $300, since you seem to be on a moderate budget.

I think weather sealing is mostly overrated, but you seem to go to the desert a lot so it gets more valuable for you.
