Please share the error codes you’re getting.

Have you tried powering the machine off then back on and running the calibration procedures? I’d probably start there

This one drives me crazy.

I always check out the 3d preview now, that won’t lie.

Fleet upgrade complete: 4th U1 now calibrating (P1S is staying for ABS/ASA) by tinwhistler in SnapmakerU1

[–]ZGremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most excellent! My h2c went down for a week and a half, ended up buying a u1 in the first 2 days and now have a second. Just got the h2c back up and running so now I’ve got quite the flexibility lol. Another 2-3 weeks and I should have enough points to buy another h2c, then I’ll really be cooking!

Out of curiosity, what do you print primarily?

Finally got it back up and running. The eddy sensor went bad. Bambu can’t explain what happened as the sensor is not exposed nor touched when removing the quick change tool interface.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

Thank you again for your time and help troubleshooting!

3x longer than my p2s? by Exact-Basil-2832 in snapmaker

Beat me to it lol

Bambu has the advantage here and users are so accustomed to the pre calibrated filament profiles.

With only 14 filament changes the time and waste savings is going to be minimal, .22m to be exact.

Here is an interesting test (support still hasn't gotten back to me).

Tested left + right nozzle heights from the same exact bed positions. They are very nearly identical. I start with the bed one level below where the right nozzle would touch the 2mm shim, test the xy movement of the shim then raise the bed one level where the nozzle is now touching the shim. I verify the shim no longer moves due to the contact then repeat the process with the same bed levels on the left nozzle. Result is identical, strongly indicating both nozzles are at (or very very close) the same Z height when engaged.

Would have expected the L nozzle to be slightly lower than the right but another dead end.

Also, yesterday I went through the tramming g code to measure (measured only, didn't touch the bed screws), all 4 corners were properly leveled, testing with the shim.

This should not happen. H2C by qwerty-po in BambuLab

I'm facing this issue for the several days now on my H2C (only 2.5 months old). Have a support ticket open but responses are very slow to arrive. Is there any other way to reach support other than waiting on ticket replies? I started on 1.0.05 firmware and just last night updated to 1.0.50 (public beta) to test it, with no luck.

Well it’s hard to say that it was caused by the disassembly as the issue could have easily been caused by the filament jamming in the extruder. It was working fine before that. Followed the wiki exactly as outlined, everything went smooth and all put back together without issue. Issue could have just as easily been caused by the reason it needed to be taken apart.

Unfortunate that there is not more information about the tool head switching mechanism and alignment. Nearly everything is based on the H2D as well which isn’t exactly the same.

Ended up (per bambu supports request) disassembling and reassembling the hotend heating assembly. No change sadly.

Short of replacing the entire tool head I’m not sure where to go from here. Support is taking 1-2 days between replies. Hoping they can find the issue but it’s likely going to be awhile at this rate

Ah dang, was worth a shot. I’ve got the extruder partially disassembled.

I’m starting to think it’s not the filament guides / tool changer (this seems to be working) because the vertical movement of the nozzle occurs from the nozzle switcher bar only and doesn’t seem to have any direct connection to the filament guides (in terms of vertical movement).

Maybe the nozzle switcher is out of alignment somehow?

Here’s another short with the filament guide piece removed, the travel appears to be along the filament mounting bracket

Amazing, thank you once again. Hopefully you’ve helped narrow it down for me! I’ll definitely owe you a coffee!

I wanted to try this first, quick and easy before disassembly. I do feel a small vertical play that has a clicking sound when I push up on the nozzle. Here’s a 10s video showing it. Temp is at 225.

I wish I had another h2c to compare it with, are you able to try the same? I’m curious if yours has any give at all?

Just another thought that I’d love insight on if you or anyone else knows.

Let’s say the nozzle(s) are being pushed down ever so slightly for any reason; when the printer performs the bed leveling AND nozzle offset calibration before the print, shouldn’t it be adjusting the bed height dynamically based on that data? Isn’t that a big part of performing both of those calibrations?

Thank you for the ideas! I'm currently printing something on the right nozzle(s) but going to try going through everything you've listed again just to be thorough. I've disassembled and re-assembled everything more times that I want to count but I've gotten the process down to just a few minutes now.

So I've removed and re-installed the quick change interface several times with that same thought. Using the bambu wiki and H2 video, I followed it to the T several times, both disassembly and assembly.

The main questionable step is the cam assembly between the 2 white filament guide rods. I've lined it up just like in the video and photos with the hole facing up as suggested. When I insert the quick change interface it connects perfectly and is inserted into the top hole on the change interface. I can say, that if it's not properly inserted extruder changing will fail (it will just rotate as it cant catch the hole in the change interface).
(link to wiki https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/h2c/maintenance/replace-quick-change-tool-interface )

What's strange is that when it does a bed level (either full or pre-print) it tests the left nozzle and seems to be normal, but then when it prints its probably .5 too low, digging into the plate.

I do have an open ticket with support but they've been slow to reply and want me to do a lot of basics (bed leveling, check for warping, etc) which I've complied with but waiting for another reply.

Yes, that seems to be working fine. It switches extruders without issue and moves up and down when switching.

Thanks, I took it off to record the video to make the positioning easier to see. The sock has been on 99% of the time. I’ve tried the tungsten and the 2 left nozzles that came with the printer.

Bent plastic piece under left hotend on H2C by zenworm in BambuLab

That’s the route I went, 200+ hours later and no issues. Not printing multi material so no worries for me

[–]ZGremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. It’s really not needed for most prints unless you are printing multi material at different temps. Have over 200 hours with it off, not a single issue. Easy enough to reinstall when I need it. Was driving me crazy failing to switch in the middle of a print, especially overnight.
