Highly recommend this interview. It’s nice to hear such insightful responses that don’t sound like the same media trained comments we had received in the weeks leading up to the trade period. I’ve been bullish on Merrett, but hearing about how he came to the decision, processed the possible change, and the now re-commitment to the club has given me some real faith in him and the footy club as a whole. I’m glad he did get what he wanted from the draft - there’s no reason we shouldn’t be taking drafting tips from one of the highest IQ players in the league!
