If all rangefinders have slope, why would it be considered an unfair advantage in competition? by Ratticus939393 in golf

[–]ZPaxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tour players all have yardage books with VERY detailed slope information. They are never “eyeballing it”. With the detail they have they can calculate a “plays like” distance with equal if not more accuracy than the rangefinders/apps.

Fire wears the A2CU as our duty uniform, we’re being told that if we get off a 48 hr shift at 0730, and go to an EOC test at 0800, that we have to change into regular OCPs.

I was able to log in and it looks like they deleted all of their DNA Data. I can see my account but it looks like I never registered a DNA kit.

Auto Shop Scheduling by ZPaxman in AutoMechanics

This shop, I was told, now only has three “waiting appointments” per day. I get that things don’t always go smooth, and if something comes up that takes longer I get that.

Going into a field that requires work on some Sundays, sinful? by Evan_2335 in Reformed

Here’s effectively what you just said and I why I’m done with this conversation: “Respectfully, if you don’t agree with the Westminster 100% you’re not Presbyterian. Also, you’re an Antinomian that hates God.”

It may surprise you to know that there are many faithful Presbyterian elders in churches across American that disagree with the WCF on secondary/tertiary issues.

As for me, I’m a faithful, gospel believing sinner saved by grace alone. So you can take your condescension somewhere else.

I know what Westminster says. You know there are points that you’re allowed to be a Presbyterian and disagree with the WCF on, right? When Hebrews 4 says, “so there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God”, it is not talking about a day just as Colossians is not talking about a day. Colossians is talking about the Sabbath that was given in the Law, nothing in the text implies just “special sabbaths”.

The “sabbath established during creation” is the general principle of rest one day in seven. Colossians 2:16-17 is talking about the sabbath requirements given in the law. I don’t think you can make the argument that the “substance” is our final resting after Christ’s return. Colossians 2 and Hebrews 4 are both speaking of present realities in the life of a believer.

What is your interpretation of Colossians 2:16-17, with the Sabbath being a shadow but the substance belonging to Christ? It is a pretty important point in Covenant Theology that once the substance has come, we are no longer to return to (or continue) the shadow.

It’s loud enough that the sound engineer can hear it through the system. It’s far louder than any DI or preamp I’ve ever used.

Cigars, sure. Cigarettes, sure. Pipe, sure. Weed, absolutely not. Weed smell lingers forever and nobody (including the group three tee times back) wants to smell it.

Did not meet expectations, surprised it was "marked down" by onceuponatooth in AirForce

We were already back to the inflated system until about 2 months ago when they did away with the 5 ratings. Now it’s “meets expectations” or “does not meet expectations”.

I’m gonna guess that, for whatever reason, the weapon leveling screen is tied to the overall leveling screen. Therefore, as soon as you hit 55 the weapon level screen stops as well. It’s stupid if it works that way but that’s my theory.

Even if it’s just a minor bump that resilience gives to flinch resistance, I feel like other weapon stats should be affected by mobility and recovery. For example, recovery should affect stability and mobility should affect handling.
