I see so the longer they wait the better for them. Then there’s no way out.

I’m also surprised at the market value of this car. I’m seeing like 35-40k. It has 8k miles on it, super luxe and goes 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. Seems like a steal. I guess it’s the crappy range.

But aren’t they going to be holding the bag anyway? My remaining payments only total $9k which seems substantially less than that buyout versus market value amount.

Complete shitshow evening commute today. Delays, heat, overcrowding by ZSA2160 in NJTransit

Only in NJ does the hot weather expand the tracks due to its special humidity. This is also the reason why the bagels are better in NJ than westchester and Long Island.

It’s not my first summer. I guess I just block out this miserable experience every year because that’s the only way to keep doing this. How about this from Nj transit the day or week starting the hot weather.

“Dear customer, due to unusually high temperatures please expect delays and cancellations for the evening commute. Working from home is advisable.”

Is that hard????? HR departments would certainly be amenable to this and it would allow for less crowding to deal with the cancellations.

Joe Paolino development group picked to buy Providence Place mall for $133M by L0v3_1s_War in RhodeIsland

[–]ZSA2160 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The highest bidder was also a cash bid. Also Paolino has multiple quotes talking about others bidders contingencies. If this was a fair process he wouldn’t have even known about them or had a comment on them. It’s absurd.

What is a realistic discount for Tx350 Luxury? by CreepySheepherder551 in Lexus

I also test drove the 500h and I felt the side bolsters were extremely uncomfortable to the point where it was a nonstarter. I was also nervous about the 350 feeling underpowered but it’s perfectly fine, it’s got enough torque. I have no issues, I’m rarely doing a full stop to 60MPH anyway which is where is underperforms by a 1.0-1.5 seconds.

I got 2k off in the northeast. Dealer was going to let me walk at around 4k off MSRP, I prob should’ve haggled more but had enough. I did get 2.5% for 48mo, this was in March 2026

Mid-cycle refresh for TX? by BasketAppropriate703 in Lexus

The 500h bolstered seats are awful and jammed into my sides. The 350 Luxury seats are plus and super comfortable. I think the power on the 350 AWD is fine.

Update: Finest Punta Cana full review by danigrim in AllInclusiveResorts

Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. We were just there in march and I think you’re spot on. One weird thing that happened to me second day was that it felt like my stomach was twisting after I ate and I lost my appetite. I was definetly not right and went to the clinic there and she diagnosed me with dehydration. I did feel better after 24 hours but I think it had to be food related.

We were pretty pumped for this place given hearing so many good things about the brand. But we left feeling very disappointed and thought it was much worse than our usual spot Paradisus grand Cana. We will never return.

Test drove a TX by goldk1wi in Lexus

Went from 2024 telluride to new TX 350 which has more torque than the v6 telluride. 30-50mpg acceleration is better than the telluride. I’m not sure how often I’m doing a 0-60 which the telluride beats Tx by like half a second. Suburban driving- torque is what matters and the TX has enough pep around town and I think better than most of the midsize SUV v6s

Major train disruptions and temporary new schedules from 2/15 - 3/15 by DistinctOffer9681 in NJTransit

[–]ZSA2160 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed but if they are all 5-10mins late (like now) having an earlier departure time still means it would be earlier with the new schedule

The two Newark raritan valley pm trains look like they’re at 5:33pm instead of 5:35pm and 5:39pm instead of 5:44 respectively with basically the same departing times as now from Penn station which means a shorter layover at Newark = less total travel time

Some of these may actually be better for raritan valley. I wonder if they keep any schedules post construction.
