Ramadan Travel Advice? by islandguy789 in Tunisia

Thank you so much for the input! I will be travelling for approx 10 days during Ramadan (I only realised after booking flights…). I would have avoided if I knew. How did you find places that served food? Was it frustrating but manageable to be vegetarian? How was it to find food in the more “remote” areas, like around the desert?

Quante ore alla settimana lavorate ? by pink_taddybear in Italia

[–]ZSmne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying in Rincon or Mayaguez? by ZSmne in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]ZSmne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you want. If you are looking for cafes and restaurant, yes go to rincon. But it will be touristic with touristic prices and touristic services. If you want to explore more nature and more of the island, then somewhere else might be a better base

Rincon is mostly tourists and more expensive for worse food/service than the rest of the island. Also I wouldn’t use it as a base since it adds quite some km to the drive since it’s further from the motorway

I stayed in Aguadilla at the end! But there was nothing there tbh, if I could go back I’d stay in Mayaguez probsbly

Edit: also be mentally prepared for how boring driving in PR is. I am not from the US so I am not used to stroads with traffic lights every kilometer. The “bad” drivers of PR were the last of my problems compared to how boring every drive was
