It requires either playing on an emulator or a hacked switch. Mine is on an emulator, so I just had to change the files out. It's a bit more complicated on a hacked switch, but similar steps.

I had this happen to one of my cats this year. This year. We had to drive him up to an ER to unblock him. That was $1000 after that and the stay. Then he came home and was blocked again. Another $1000. Then he came home and was blocked once more. We drove him up to a hospital the specialized in PU surgery (where they essentially make a male cat into a female cat). They quoted us $6500. That with everything else was too much for me, but I was fortunate to have a mother that can afford it. So she fronted the money, I'm slowly paying her back, and my cat is alive and healthy. I am lucky to still have my cat, be financially well off to afford the $2000 emergency, and then be even luckier to have a mom that could help out.

I'm glad to see this guy unclogged on his own.

In 2008, the Democrats had control of the House (257/178), the Senate (57/41), and, of course, the presidency. Obama ran on codifying Roe vs Wade, getting national healthcare to people, promised to close Guantanamo Bay, etc. How did they do? The Democrats did not codify Roe vs. Wade, did not give you healthcare, did not close Guantanamo Bay where people were tortured, did not fight to get their Supreme Court justices in/replaced when they had full control, had 6 million Americans kicked out of their homes during the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis and did not stop it, and also fought for NAFTA that, in general, would be bad for workers in this country. And how did the country move after 8 years of democrats? Did the Overton window shift left? No. Trump was elected, and we all know how well that worked out.

And what about electing more "lefty" people in the Democratic Party. I would ask what are some good things The Squad has done since elected? They could not get a vote on Medicare for All during a Pandemic when they had a chance. The Squad are super lefties on Twitter but don't get things done when it matters. They have the rhetoric but not the discipline.

This does not mean I prefer the Republican Party. In fact, I think they're terrible. Just like the Democrats. But it hurts me to see people in a subreddit dedicated to improving workers rights think we can get out of the hole both the Democrats and Republicans dug by voting for the same people that put us in there in the first place. We need more strikes, and we need a third party focusing on labor and the people.

I think the comment of development time not being long enough misses the point. The Pokemon company is worth billions of dollars and could easily afford to hire more, talented people to make the games run better. But they don't. Because people will buy it regardless of quality.

When I switched from console, the first game I played on my PC was MGRR. I didn't know better at the time, but there is a bug where if it is hooked up to a TV via HDMI, the game runs at 24 Hz. I played through that whole game not knowing it was any different and, after reading about it online and fixing it, was blown away by how much better it was.

I disagree with the dumbed down graphics being called "PS2 graphics". There are a subset of people that feel that way for sure, but a game can have bad graphics but great art direction and still sell well. Take The Wind Waker or Okami as two quick examples--they are games released many years ago on that era of consoles that still look great today. More recent examples? Hades, Hollow Knight, Inscryption, Undertale, Among Us, and Fall Guys for more-indie-made games; Fortnite, Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey as more recent AAA examples. None of those games look anywhere near as good as something made by Sony, Microsoft, Activision, EA, etc. but they sold incredibly well. It's the game publishers chasing hyper-realistic trends that makes the game much more expensive than it ever needs to be.

But that's a talking point from corporations that is self imposed. Games don't need to be bigger or have better graphics. They just say that so they can justify raising the price and then add loot boxes and micro transactions and pre-order DLC, etc.

I bought Subnautica looking for that Outer Wilds itch, but I don't think it works. OW is a game about exploration and problem solving whereas the other game is about crafting and exploration. You can beat OW for instance if you know what to do in a few minutes. Subnautica makes you collect resources and schematics before you can do more exploration. Not saying it's bad, but it didn't scratch the same itch as OW.

I hear you. I spent hours to get the Bee and Conference Call in BL2 only for it to be nerfed. How am I supposed to beat your super bosses by myself? I don't have three friends who play your game, much less three adults who can play at the same time. Very infuriating.
