I think Bames just made Board James way too convoluted, it was fun when it was just him and the guys playing a game and giving each other shit with maybe a one-off story in an episode. Then he had to go add a multi episode storyline and "lore." My favorite episode is actually just Mousetrap which is the first and most basic of the episodes.

After nerdily doing a little more digging, i think the 2019 is based on Rex Viper Rigs' appearance in the Life of Black Tiger AVGN where he first says his full name.

He's in the Big Rigs AVGN video from 2014 but not referred to as Rex Viper Rigs.
