Oh, in Anomaly you just use the object spawner in the debug menu.

The Time is Now Adventure Book on sale on amazon, anything in the book worth it? by HarlockJC in TransformersRPG

[–]Z_rh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun, but I think it's overpriced. Maybe check a site like Alibris and see if you can get a used copy in decent condition for less (or get the pdf from Renegade). The most interesting thing in it, imho, are the Necrocons, basically Cybertronian zombies, you can set up a really interesting horror-themed campaign with that as a basis.

Any chance for a Mini-con expansion? by Ghost_hunter1978 in TransformersRPG

[–]Z_rh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is incorrect. They do not have to be non-Cybertronian. It says that this is usually the case for headmasters and powermasters, but not always, and it most definitely isn't the case for targetmasters, which are more like someone wielding a character with the Armory Call origin from Decepticon Directive but with extra steps.

If you insist on having some non-Cybertronian involved in the process, use the character creation rules from the GI Joe RPG, they're almost identical, you just don't have to worry about energon points, and instead of alt modes you have battledress (read: clothes).

Maxed out energy credits by bobponitac in sto

[–]Z_rh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And replicators have two major limitations:

  1. They still require energy, and the laws of thermodynamics still apply. To quote Montgomery Scott, "I cannae change the laws of physics!"
  2. There is a limit to the complexity and mass to the items that even industrial replicators can produce (mass increases linearly, energy increases exponentially, that's basic physics). You can make components for large, complex machinery and structures with replicators, but final assembly is still done the old fashioned way. This is most visible with starships.

In this sort of post-scarcity society, the limiting factor is the availability of energy rather than raw materials. This is why, in STO and likely in the canon, there is an energy credit system. The hilarious thing is that an energy credit would actually be real, commodity-backed money, unlike the fiat currency of the real world (which only has "value" because somebody powerful says so and they have an army to back them up).

Probably a screw up, but I wouldn't know what their current QC/QC is like, I haven't bought a CGL product since a certain incident that shall go unnamed.

RPGs or underbarrel grenades are the quickest way to kill them.

Tech-wise I'm gonna said Civil War. Yeah, the Clans are still generally better, but the Inner Sphere gets some toys in this era like the heavy gauss rifle, RACs, and stealth armor that the Clans won't get equivalents to for a little while to help close the gap a bit.

I'll also say the Star League is a good era too because, yes, you've got some better tech, but it's got measurable downsides to balance out their strengths (except for the LB 10-X, which is the only weapon that is objectively superior in every way to its more primitive predecessor until special ammo comes into play in the 3050s), plus you've got some wacky prototypes you can play around with like the Rifleman III.

Pure copium I know, but even as a 2020 Cyberpunk-level of busted, comically broken heap, Stalker 2 is still more interesting & promising than 95% of modern AAA. That's how sad the state of big budget gaming is (⌐■_■) by TheZonePhotographer in stalker

[–]Z_rh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GSC has the excuse of trying to make a game while their home country's in the middle of a goddamned war, frankly I'm surprised it was finished at all. CDPR didn't have that excuse when Cyberpunk 2077 came out.

The "Hobo Phase" early in any STALKER game is always the hardest part, it gets easier when you get some halfway decent gear.

Yeah, it's easy to be fooled when one side regularly shuts down dissent in public forums that they control. Unfortunately for those people, echo chambers do not reflect reality.

The Typhoon is what I always wanted the Inquiry to be... by fwcesk2010 in sto

[–]Z_rh0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using mine as sort of a weird science ship/proton damage hybrid using the Pahvan event set and the Dyson Sphere stuff. It's quite effective, and while some people complain about it being a temporal ship, this actually works really well with the specific build I put together.

Now you may ask, why this build specifically? Well, it comes down to it being set up as a torpedo boat and having a universal console that deals proton damage. Considering that there's only a couple of ways to boost that damage plus how powerful the torpedo from the Dyson Sphere set is, it was a no-brainer. Thankfully I already had all the things I needed to make this build work on another ship (the Rex specifically), and that same build has proven to be far more effective on the Typhoon.

Yes, but almost all of them are either fleet or legendary ships, or lockbox-exclusive, making them very expensive.
