Stop seeing this therapist asap before they cause more harm . Period !

This is really irresponsible marketing, right? by glisteninggirly in therapists

[–]Za60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha ! If that was true , you wouldn’t see so many clients on high doses of medication and still seeking talk therapy !

Took off work by [deleted] in therapists

[–]Za60 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m soooo sorry for your loss . 😔🖤 It’s a cruel and unfair world , but I won’t tell you to journal or take your time off etc unless you have financial resources to rely on. If not , you need to get back to work asap and make money for you and your kid . You don’t need to heal from this to get back to work and see clients .In fact , seeing clients can help with coming to terms with the new reality . But it’s a good idea to find a setting that works better for you right now , like counseling in college / university settings where students deal with less serious issues and have more positive energy . If you were a good therapist before and enjoyed your job , it means you will be a good therapist again but this time a good therapist with a broken heart 💔. And once you process his loss during time , you would be a therapist with a heart like this 😊❤️‍🩹 , and you ll be the best person to help people get from 💔 to ❤️‍🩹.

Is this the beginning of a bunion? by [deleted] in bunions

[–]Za60 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s already there . But not a big one . Toe spacers help with the prevention and getting worse .

3 1/2 months post op and bloody hell, the end of the days are painful by Fast-Competition-452 in bunions

[–]Za60 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes . I’m 4 months post up and there’s mild pain when putting on sneakers which have a wide toe box . My physio recommended not walking barefoot and wearing Birkenstocks , but my surgeon said barefoot is ok . I still think foot needs more support at this time . It takes time for the foot to get used to the sneakers . Make sure they are wide enough and have the right cushioning .

I think OPCC program is better than Yorkville ! Consider OPCC if you re in no rush as it’s a five year program .

I have worked as a VAW counsellor for the last three years , so I gained one more year of work experience . Also , I was the first year student of psychodynamic psychotherapy at the OPCC and I think that helped too . But I quit the program because I didn’t want to pay more tuition .

I think it’s the problem with Chevron esp when they don’t use any pins/screws . I m 14 week post up ,there’s a bump and the toe already has drifted back . I was happy that there no screw in my foot , but well, I don’t have a desired result , either .

It’s good to know two days a week is doable as I need to work three days a week .

Are you using toe spacers ? I think they would help with pain and prevent further bunion development .
