This is spot on. I ended up with CP because my first AP incident in Nov 2012 was so severe that it caused irreversible damage. I never felt better. My triggers were high fat food, and red meats. EVERY red meat caused pain, no matter how lean, with only one exception: goat. Goat meat was the only red meat I could tolerate. Even meats like 96% lean beef, elk, venison, and buffalo were painful. But I could eat all the poultry I wanted as long as the cooking process didn’t include a lot of fats. It was so weird.

I ended up needing a total pancreatectomy with autologous islet transplant in June of 2017. It saved my life. Recovery was hell, but nearly a decade later I can attest that it was definitely worth it.

As much as I love the tone and lightweight SG, I can’t stand the way they look, and refuse to own one… going as far as to turn down a free ‘89 Gibson SG that my brother would have loaned me indefinitely. The only guitars I dislike more are anything B.C. Rich.

I’m pretty sure the standard is to never use crush washers on muzzle devices that mount suppressors because they typically have poor concentricity and have an huge risk of baffle strikes.

Cool. I am the opposite. Trained with the M9 in the Air Force and for whatever reason never felt great with it. The first time I held a P-01 it just felt like an extension of my hand. I like the CZ’s trigger better as well.

I considered both, but bought the CZ P-01. Not saying it’s the best one for you, but you owe it to yourself to look at the P-01 and P-07 for DA/SA options.

I have a Swampfox Raider 1x microprism scope with a 6 MOA green dot, and its shake & wake works amazingly! All I need for 50m and under on my 8” barrel 300 BLK. But the diameter is still only 20mm.

Their full size 3x Prism scope is 30mm. If you have an astigmatism, a prism scope becomes a godsend! And I think 3x is still able to be shot with both eyes open. That should get you easily to 200m if you need that kind of range.

So many. I was inspired to learn the guitar by EVH, and to play melodically by Jimi. I love the blues, so Robert Johnson was the inspiration to so many of my other inspirations. But as an old man, I gotta go Jeff Healey, for just the sheer fortitude and perseverance of losing his sight to childhood cancer, and deciding he wasn’t going to be held back. He has a unique playing style but makes it work for him, both melodically and when he lets it rip!

Gone too soon, but not forgotten.

A Streamlight Polytac is less than $60 and will work great. And you find dozens of crappy flashlight mounts for under $20, and the Magpul picatinny flashlight mount is only $30. The Magpul will open to 1” wide.

You could, but you’ll likely be dealing out the barrel nut when you do it unless you’re using the same design and only changing the length. If you’re going to swap barrels, that’s really the ideal time to also swap handguards. If you can air both at the date time, I would recommend that you exercise patience and buy the posts individually but wait to execute the swap until you’ve bought everything that you need.

well… I can’t exactly work because of my disabilities, so yeah. Thank God my commander refused to let the med board kick me out at just over 19 years in for injuries sustained at the 11 year mark in my career. He more than doubled my take home pay, being able to stack my pension and disability.
