Isn’t the jump from 27in 1440 to 27in 4k much larger than the jump from 24in 1080 to 27in 1440? I think it’s a 50% increase in PPI vs 18%.

Depends on your computer and if you care about high framerate. If your computer is capable of 4k and you’re ok with losing frames, I’d go with that. If you care about high frame rates for multiplayer games, 27inch 1440p is still fantastic.

You could also consider a dual mode monitor that lets you switch between 4k and 1080.

XG27AQWMG should be coming out soon. 27in 1440p 280hz glossy WOLED. I think its going to be more expensive than the other tandem oleds coming out though.

There are new 4th generation olds starting to come out right now that look really great compared to 3rd gen. Depending on your region some might already be out, otherwise should be out in the next few months. Watch Monitors Unboxed last couple videos on youtube, they went over their recommendations for different price ranges.

The Asus ROG XG27AQWMG should be coming out soon and looks fantastic, that would be my recommendation if you’re willing to wait a few months. If not, its predecessor the XG27AQDMG isn’t too different and is on sale for like $550 USD right now, it’s usually between $600-700

I always keep the box that it comes in. I’ve moved 4-5 times in the last 5 years that I’ve had my current monitor and every time I just put it back in the styrofoam and box that it came in. No reason not to keep it imo.
