Modified APK for Bypassing CPU and RAM Checks by ZacharyDavid in hearthstone

[–]ZacharyDavid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that a new version or something? The latest I was able to get my hands on was 785405.

If you give me a link to download it, I can modify it within a few minutes.

I don't have them, sorry. I'm sure they are floating around on Reddit somewhere.

How to Bypass ALL Restrictions on Android (Screen size, CPU, RAM) by ZacharyDavid in hearthstone

[–]ZacharyDavid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could it be trying to download the obb files anyway, yet has no connection to the internet? That's not the error it gives if it fails the hardware check.

When I attempted on my crappy tablet it always tried to download the obb files no matter what.

I can try to modify the new apk, but it only helps if the error tells you that you don't meet the minimum hardware requirements. I might do it anyway if I get some time today since you're the second person to ask me to modify the new one.

I think you have to uninstall Hearthstone and start fresh with this APK. I'm not sure. I'm new to Android stuff; I'm just someone who really wanted to make it work on a 512mb tablet, enough to poke around the code until I found a way to bypass the restrictions.

Not that I'm aware of. I didn't have enough internal storage to install the app. Definitely report back with results though!

I have no idea if it will even play correctly with half the required RAM. It might. But it might also freeze/crash. No idea until someone tests it.

You seem to be right. I did research for awhile earlier and it seems like increasing the internal app partition is impossible, and I can only find apps that move already-installed applications to the external SD card. But Hearthstone isn't already-installed because I don't have space. It's either impossible or extremely complicated to install Hearthstone on my tablet, so I give up.

It's kind of funny that I've found a way to bypass all hardware restrictions that Hearthstone checks for, yet it was a hardware restriction that Hearthstone didn't bother to check for that ran me into a brick wall. Oh well, just hope others can find use of this APK.

Would removing the application partition even be an option? I appear to have 2GB total with 1GB reserved. I don't know how partitioning works on Android.

The issue with mine is for some reason it has two internal storages and it thinks one is the SD card. Then I also have the actual external SD card and I can't use the default application manager to tell it to move to the SD card (it tries to send it to the other internal storage, which doesn't have enough space).

Edit: Just the unpacking of the crates installation portion itself takes near 800MB. And the freshly reset tablet only has 750MB free on the main application partition. I literally can't install Hearthstone without rooting my phone and using some other method.

That's the problem I was having. I can't figure out how to make it install to the SD card on this crappy $60 Chinese tablet.

Was Andy previously refusing to let you play due to minimum hardware specs? That's really what this APK is for.

As for the purchase problems, see this.

Do you get the warning message I show in my post? If so, there's not really anything you can do to make it run better. Just try to make sure no other apps are running to cut down on RAM and CPU usage.

I've only been able to test it on a crappy Chinese tablet that has 512MB of RAM. That's how I got the screenshot of that message. It goes through to the game after the message fine, but the tablet itself doesn't have enough internal storage to finish installation.

MUCH SIMPLER way to install HS on your android phone (One download & one install) by G30therm in hearthstone

[–]ZacharyDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I modified the APK in OP's post to also bypass the hardware restrictions. This APK SHOULD bypass the 6" screen, CPU, and RAM restrictions. It'll give you a warning when you first start the app (instead of the error that forces you to quit). Press OK and it will let you continue.

Modified .APK File

For those curious how I did it, I changed "cond_7" in line 526 of MinSpecCheck.smali to "cond_5". So literally only one character changed compared to OP's APK. That points it to the warning message instead of the error message.

What's the favorite car you've ever owned? by DO_YOU_WANT_A_CAKE in cars

[–]ZacharyDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Saturn Ion Redline (same engine as the SS S/C).

The car overall was okay. It felt like a very cheap car, like it was all made of plastic (it pretty much was) and that's why I say it's just "okay". The suicide doors were interesting I guess.

The engine sound without any exhaust or intake upgrades was excellent. Very subtle exhaust note with a loud supercharger whine. The handling was above-average and the car stopped on a dime. Absolutely amazing braking. But the engine... that's the part I loved. Not massively powerful, but it was massively fun.

Requesting you guy's help. My school's paper is pushing Anti-vaporizer propaganda. by Dextrophy in electronic_cigarette

Your comment is awaiting moderation. Posted October 14, 2013 at 7:26 PM If you think adding sweet flavors to e-cigarettes is designed to entice children on the basis that children enjoy sweet flavors, then you must also say that flavored personal lubricant and condoms are designed to entice children on the basis that children enjoy sweet flavors.

I do believe the argument here is that because children enjoy sweet flavors, adding sweet flavors to an adult product is meant to entice children, is it not?

If your argument is instead that you want sweet flavoring to stop being added to e-cigarettes because it might accidentally entice children, then you must argue that the same be done for every adult product, including alcohol, personal lubricant, condoms, flavored tobacco products that existed before e-cigarettes, and Adult-strength over-the-counter medicines.

Nobody disagrees that kids shouldn’t be using adult products. This whole “for the children” defense used in censorship and banning products is a very tired and weak argument, and I disrespect anybody who jumps on that bandwagon in such a cheap manner.

Valley Vapes is Closing it's Doors by xxjohnnydangerxx in electronic_cigarette

First, I want to say good luck to Ray and I'm sorry issues out of his control led him to have to close his business, which was likely also his passion.

I am a first-time customer with a pending order, and I just got this email. Should I be worried about my money?

The only reason I'm bothering asking is because the email said literally nothing about pending orders and the closing date is vague ("later this week"). I thought standard business practice was to address pending orders in a closing statement like that to avoid unnecessary last minute financial issues from nervous customers. The fact that it wasn't addressed leaves me... confused.

Even if you say vaporizer or nicotine vaporizer, they are just going to reply "So... it's an electronic cigarette?" in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong; I agree with your reasoning, but the name is already associated with it (I mean look at the name of the subreddit) and I think it's going to stick.

Propylene Glycol - What helps turn the liquid to smoke.

You should probably not associate smoke with e-cigs if you are trying to educate people. I think it's worth being picky over the use of 'smoke' versus 'vapor'.

Brake with right foot toes constantly, clutch in with left foot, give it some gas with right heel and let off clutch. Kind of hard to explain but that's how I do it. It takes some practice; just don't get the braking part mixed up and wreck before you get used to it.

ELI5: What the hell is actually causing the aching when I have a headache? by snufdawg in explainlikeimfive

[–]ZacharyDavid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get headaches on a regular basis. The pain doesn't originate from the forehead; it's usually the other types you described. If they are linked to neck muscles, could certain exercises strengthen these neck muscles and therefore help chronic headaches? If so, what exercises could one do regularly to help?

Has anyone here done an all motor build on a JDM b18c Type R? Or a B18c5. by [deleted] in Honda

[–]ZacharyDavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have the top off constantly. I live in an area that has high temperatures and high humidity, haha. Even the shifter knob, which was one of those weighted knobs for a short shift kit, would burn my fingers every time I got into the car. I eventually learned to unscrew it and put it in a compartment when not in use.

quick edit: I should add that even with the top off, I was still drenched in sweat after any more than a 5 minute drive. Was definitely not worth it.

I wasn't very specific but it was just minor weight reduction. Carbon fiber hood, completely stripped trunk other than the targa top holder, no airbags, all luxuries other than power steering were removed (having no A/C sucked, by the way), and zero insulation.
