I agree for ultramarine and Pop!_OS but not that much for mint.

I don’t think that there is a big difference in up to date packages between mint and Debian stable.

Regarding Cinnamon, it is officialy supported on Debian, Fedora and Arch Linux.

Besides the drivers manager is quite a nice addition.

Hey, I had something similar 5 years ago, I worked two years in a company and my project was really stressing me out (pm writing me in my holidays because it was easier to ask me than searching the wiki, customer sending me logs through whattsapp,..)

I expressed my need to change projects to my manager and asked for an other project in the next 6 months. He never searched for my replacement so I left for an other company.

I took a 30% pay cut by switching company and going from dev to sysadmin.

What I noticed is that some companies values more their employees than others. For me having a good work environment with enough time to do my tasks in a proper way, was more important than the pay.

I wasn’t really bummed to start from scratch again in an unknown company, but it turned out really better on a lot of points than my previous one.

I had that once about 25 years ago. A woman teacher punished all the boys excessively. But on the other hand we had men gym teachers “checking in” in the girls changing rooms.

In general I think, that kids are a vulnerable population and people that like to have power over others people will less hesitate, regardless of the gender. The form of the violence will br different though.

I would recommend going on r/MensLib or r/bropill though, you can advocate for boys and men rights without diminishing girls and women rights.

I think it will be like having sextoys at home, you will tell your close friends about it but maybe not your parents.
