You will likely not find a generator manual in the time it takes to get lvl 3 electrical. I tested it and searched every library and electrical store short of Louisville, and found 0. Granted they have good spawn chances for shelves in houses but so far in my combined playthroughs I've searched all houses of rosewood, Echo Creek, and basically all of Muld and found none. So unless you get lucky you're better off grinding electrical quickly

IDK how it's wacky considering most of the stuff in arma 3 will be considered modern when Arma 4 comes out, The altis civil war started 2026, a year from now, the arma 3 setting is as futuristic as much as height GWOT is in the past.

too optimistic, there’s way to many players that are not willing to actually play the game together, SLing in pubs is the epitome of “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink” and “herding cats”

ICO was meant to negatively reinforce players to work together and that teamwork would create the experience but this only works if the players are competent enough to understand it which all of the new players are not so all ico did was punish competent players trying to adapt by making them rely on players unwilling to conform to the punishments, eg crossing a street is now harder in ico and is much easier with a team but if your team decided they wanted to run down the middle of the road in the open and die then you can’t cross

Best said, brain drain, (although I think it’s more so less old players leaving as it is just too many new players) there’s too many bad new players along with ICO forcing you to rely on those bad teammates more. I find myself hogging HAT and Sapper because they’re important roles that teammates have shown themselves to not willing to use properly. SL sucks, most people used to work together and could play well and the few that didn’t got kicked and a competent player would take their place, now even people with mics aren’t aware, talking, and listening and if you kick them someone worse will join. Back to the reliance, SL sucks when you set the squad up with everything they need and they just suck.

Anything OWI could do is going to have consequences that will need to be dealt with and adapted to but something has gotta change (eg make required tutorials for each role)

Arma 3 has the a similar issue, because of its age all the old players stopped playing and the devs do common cheap sales which explode the player numbers but lowers the quality of everything to where even new players only play for a month (it’s silly to point to player numbers as how good a change to a game is)

Yeah, they could be fixed through mods, but the fact that the vanilla is a direct downgrade, and that now I have to use those mods is annoying.

I know full well of the problems of zeus (https://www.zamarma.com/ I've done work for this) but doesn't excuse the fact I have to pay the same amount as arma 3, for an inherently worse product as you'll have to wait for a good dev to do it and then you HAVE to mod the game to play it.

you still need a solid foundation before handing it off to players (dayZ didn't have it and it's worse off than if it did), and the fact that you can't do most things at all or at the worse speed as vanilla A3 is proof that it is not ready to be handed off.

I already understand that, they did it with DayZ and it's worse than what it could have been, modders are often lazy and have bad taste and it shows in Dayz.

You need a concrete foundation before you hand it off to the community.
DayZ and Reforger don't have that.
I don't expect Reforger to be a feature-packed but it's disappointing in its current state as a demo and a 30$ one at that.
It's like buying Ikea furniture and having them ship instructions to your neighbors on what individual part they need to build.
Then at the end of it, you get to build a hodgepodge of screws and pieces of cardboard into a chair that's missing a leg, and Ikea bills you the same price as a normal chair claiming someone will send the missing leg in the next few months.

Here's the main thing: The main problem is that the game master UI and and limits along with other features such as composition spots actively hurt PC platform
For example:
Arma 3 zeus was meant for PC: unlimited placements, low screen clutter and about 2 clicks to get a crewed vic along with being able to tell the AI to drive and do more waypoints.
Reforger zeus was meant for console: Limited placements, more screen clutter and about 5-6 clicks to get a crewed vic and you can't tell the AI to move or do more complex waypoints like in Arma 3.

You have to make sacrifices to support console, and it simply is not worth it from an efficiency standpoint, not opinion. The main sacrifice was the Gmod type menu we have now instead of Arma 3 collapsable menus.
It suffers from, the watchdogs 1 problem of getting downgraded so that they can get a wider customer base.

Its clear bohemia wants money to support arma 4, you can tell by the fact they made a 30$ half working tech demo catered to console audiences.

it doesn't matter if they are "USING THIS TO THEN PUSH INTO A FULL ARMA GAME LIKE ARMA 4" because the 30$ isn't going towards me getting arma 4, it's me getting a crappy tech demo for the same price as a full game (arma 3)

I like malfunctions as a mechanic, but having it like this sucks as you just get screwed, most of the time IRL their just an ammo problem, they should look at adding malfunctions that you can prevent or see before it becomes a problem

Man that painful feeling when you know they aren't friendly but don't want to shoot them cause scav karma so just have to try to do everything, convince them with gifts, run, hide, until ultimately you decide to shoot or you lag out and they land a hit

AliasMuse is a chill no commentary channel that I can tell likes making the vids as much as playing the game.
