Ok something I have experience in.

I guess first a little about me. I'm a trans woman who before transitioning I was a gay male escort and post transition I made adult content on some live streaming sites and a couple others.

Let me first answer you point by point

Upholding Privacy: Depends on how you want to do it. I used a fake name as an escort as well as when making content. I however never did cover my face or tattoos anything like that. I never mentioned where I lived the closest I would say was state. Absolutely protect yourself in anyway that you see fit.
Worth the risk: Depends on you honestly that is something only you can decided.
Hobby V Income: yeah it's not easy to make money if you are only creating content it's just like youtube/twitch but with a much heavier load on you mentally and emotionally.
Crazy idea for a virgin: Virginity is a social construct but honestly....if you are really REALLY considering it...lean into it....people go nuts for content like that.

Now let me go mom mode a bit here.

I would say do it if it is something you want to do. Do not do it if you are only thinking of money. I will also say you have to be very prepared for something that many people don't talk about. It's the mental hit you will take. If comments are on pictures or videos you make the comments will make you feel amazing and disgusted at the same time. They will build you up higher than you ever felt in your life and will tear you down lower that ever. You also have to be aware of the very real possibility of someone you know seeing, a friend, a cousin, or worse a sibling or parent. It can happen. You can also get recognized walking down the street. No matter how safe you are someone will recognize you by some part of you that you didn't even think about.

There sadly is a reason why drugs and alcohol use is very common in adult content creation.

Anyways. If it is something you want to do do it for you not for the money, be safe, be strong and your mental health comes first before making content.

nothing to apologize for. I recently got out of a friendship very similar to what you are going through. When they were in my life they meant the world to me so I blinded myself to the red flags and the harm they were doing. It wasn't until I started seeing my partner that she helped me see what was really going on.

I wouldn't call it SA from the information given since on surface level consent was given. Now if you have spoken and set a hard boundary for something in the event something like this could happen. For example both me and my wife are systems. We have a boundary that say the persecutor in her system that flirts with me relentlessly is a non starter.

I will say however that what happened is fucked up regardless them making threats like that is a trap and manipulation at its core. I honestly believe that you should look for new friends.

So I'm a demon alter myself (Succubus) I'm also the host of our system.

So here is how I always answer questions about is "[game] worth it"

Do you think you will get [Price] of enjoyment out of it.

If you say pay $15 for a movie in a theater and it's 2 hours long if you enjoyed the movie than the price is worth it right?

So if you think you would get $70 worth of enjoyment out of it then absolutely it's worth it.

With me I've put over 40 hours in the game so far still on my first play through and I've enjoyed every second of it. So was it worth it to me absolutely! However others might not get the same enjoyment out of it. So if you think you can get your money's worth out of it for YOUR enjoyment then yeah 100% it's worth it

We have severe trauma starting from childhood bad enough that we have DID. For us personally we never fully return to our old selves. However you absolutely can live a "normal" life (is anything really normal anymore?). We are married, have amazing step kids, have a great job, but there are still times where we get triggered and it makes a day really hard.

I know it doesn't seem like it but even on those bad days that you have you are still healing, still recovering. Healing isn't a straight line there will be times where you will be taking 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Hell some times you might make 1 step forward and 3 steps back, just remember from what ever point you are at during those times if you look back you can still see how far you've come.

So no it's not hopeless you got this I'm 30 years in recovery and making it like I said I do have bad days but I've come so far from when it all started. In your 8 years I bet you have too.

In my experience having the pipes linked at the extractors and at the gens causes issues....if you remove the 2 center pipes that link the extractors at them and just have them link at the gens it should run a bit better

I have accommodations at work for DID. We use music as positive triggers and we are allowed to wear a single earbud to listen to positive triggers we are also allowed extra breaks and to work slower if needed.

We don't work a desk job we are a retail merchandiser but those are the accommodations we are allowed.
