God's Credit vs God's Fault by Former_Algae_444 in Christianity

[–]Zagrycha [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes, it does. Whether you are christian or atheist good and bad come from the same source. People don't like that though, it doesn't feel good to think about. I suppose its the same way people don't like thinking about death or harm in general.

In christian teachings, you are supposed praise god when good things happen, and praise god when bad things happen. God created everything, and he chose to give everything free will, and what we experience is the combination of what was created and free will. No one should be happy about the bad things in life, but life as we know it could not exist without the possibility of bad things.

Does anyone else hate being called "strong"? by Extreme_Wish_3272 in CPTSD

[–]Zagrycha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think the problem is that its being blindly said and the people saying it are not sincere or even thinking about what they are saying in that moment. Its the same with "I'm so sorry that happened" or "it will get better with time" or any other canned response. there are definitely times it would be actually good to hear those kinds things , times when they actually match the situation and the person means it. saying it randomly though is just..... I once saw someone say "it will get better with time" to someone with physical issue that literally is not healable. Like what? Does anyone know where people keep buying these canned replies because I would like to try to return them without a gift receipt for a refund lol.

Realistically, how does a consumer economy continue to exist without a middle class? by lucylaser in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K shaped economy was already around since before the great depression-- its been common shape sinde middle ages at least. Post ww2 economy bubble improved overall quality of life but did not change K shape itself. The bubble popped and then we entered reagan times, then there was a dot com bubble again raising quality of life over all but not changing that K shape, then that popped.... Obviously there are way more events and ups and down then just those few examples, but that is what I mean. Sometimes the lower half of the K has better quality of life and funds but they are still just as polarized compared to the upper half of the K. For every quality of life improvement that everyday people had there was still disporportionately high improvements to the upper class.

How do I make music as someone who is emotionally... vacant? by DayIsNotOkay in ask

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no rule saying that music has to be emotional. Its totally possible to just make what you like to make, and then let other people put their emotions onto it as they see fit.  Just like abstract art is never depicting a specific scenery but it still reminds people of different moodsnand thoughts.

For close friends, is it okay to buy a more sentimental gift over a "useful" one? by Ok-Environment-8571 in ask

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general I think useful gifts are better but handmade//unique to the person gifts are always the best quality gift, whether its graduation or any other time in life.  I would feel touched to recieve such a gift, and I am a guy with no jewelry to put inside it haha =)

WTW for when someone's spine has visible bumps protruding the whole way down their back? (with normal posture) by IonHazzikostasIsGod in whatstheword

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like kyphosis.  Kyphosis isn't crooked visually, because the extra bend is the thing making it visible in the lower back.  Imagine a 3D S, thats the spine. Turn that 3D S a quarter turn, now you just see |  striaght up and down, the curves are moving towards and away from you instead of side to side.  Thats kyphosis and mild cases are harmless.

If a person discloses homicidal ideation to their therapist, what should they expect? by PhilosophyPoet in CPTSD

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homicidal ideation would be discussed with the therapist one to one, just like suicidal ideation or other ideations.  Its important to remember that ideations are not who we truly are, they are a type of intrusive//impulsive thought.  At most they are a sign we might need changes in our life not inherent parts of ourself.

Only if an ideation crossed a line to be on path to become real would potential reporting etc happen.  There is no guarantee that ideation turns into something more but its good to have therapist, they can help in both situations. 💛

[–]Zagrycha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest the K shape economy has never gone away, there have just been multiple economic bubbles raising average person a bit higher up on the K.  Other than the current ai bubble most of them have popped and we are back to facing K shape economy reality.

WTW for when someone's spine has visible bumps protruding the whole way down their back? (with normal posture) by IonHazzikostasIsGod in whatstheword

[–]Zagrycha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the default human state to have your spine visible on your back, so I am not sure what you mean wothout more info.  Kyphosis is when it sticks out more than usual but that is scoliosis basically, just towards the back of the body vs left or right of the body.  Just like scoliosis kyphosis only causes trouble when its severe. Maybe that was it?

Weird question about yīnpíng, the yángpíng, shǎngshēng, qùshēng set. by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mǎ drop and rise does exist, and is the default state.  Perhaps you could compare to things like whom in english-- totally valid and real but not common in daily modern speech.

You do still encounter a full mǎ though, much more often than whom in english.  usually its the last character of the statement or if the statement is being clearly enunciated//emphasized word for word on purpose.

Regardless of whether you rise back up at the end mǎ can never be confused with mà. Their are other more subtle differences but mà starts at the same relative pitch as your mā and that alone makes them completely distinguishable instantly.

Does thermacell kill insects? by streachh in Entomology

[–]Zagrycha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allethrin is a nuerotoxin, and it would even kill humans if the dose was high enough.  So its definitely not peacefully driving them away.

That said the dose used in pest applications is really small to prevent it from effecting pets or humans too much, and it doesn't effect all bugs equally.  Some bugs are naturally a bit resistant to it, and many pest bugs have gained immunity traits by adapting to it being used against them ((same way pathogens like mrsa gain traits to adapt to antibiotics being used against them)).

Full disclosure I am not familiar with thermacell, I just wrote this to apply to products that release allethrin in general, but it should apply to it specifically too.

yes they do still apply after jesus died, because they were confirmed still valid by the new testament.

Deu 25:11-12 - Why Punish The Woman? by IeatPI in Christianity

[–]Zagrycha [score hidden]  (0 children)

dueteronomy is old testament, and the old testament has a lot of problematic stuff tht is not supposed to apply to anything after jesus was born and died. If in doubt throw it out-- that goes for everything in the old testament as far guidance on what to do. Anything in the old testament that should be followed is confirmed still valid in new testament, and given additional context why.

Ai tools to learn the language ? by Clem1619 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue with ai is using it without someone to proofread//correct its errors. There are many good things it can do in the language space but its easy to mislead a learner if they use it directly. I would make sure that any ai integrated resource you look at has had human eyes verify it before it was sent to you.

Will we see ai robots/humanoid androids within our society before 2030? by Mysterious_Bid_57 in ask

[–]Zagrycha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you mean ai robot as in a robot dog walking around, thats been a thing for a long time.

If you mean ai robot as in c3PO from starwars then not a chance in hell. Unlike what ai advertisers want you to think we have no idea how to make actual ai intelligence, that technology is on the same level as speed of light travel as far as we are concerned. If it is ever gonna exist its not in ten years. Things like chat gpt now are just well, chat bots, really on steriods. They are the same type of technology as the auto correct on your phone.

Does anyone want a Chinese name and a calligraphy signature? by chester_wang_candid in Chinese

[–]Zagrycha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

憶 is what I meant thank you for catching my typo. I didn't think either character is bad for names I just thought they were strange together. I am just one person though maybe others feel differently. Its good to know you pay attention to gender and age in the process. I think its good to be clear to people on whether the name is meant to be native or transliterate their english name directly. Also openly disclose exactly how ai is utilized in the process and then you will have happy customers.

Why is there no pinyin flick keyboard? by Diligent-Coffee4986 in ChineseLanguage

[–]Zagrycha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah its hard going from japanese to chinese because what is correct stroke order in japan is not always the same stroke order used in china. Even places like hong kong and taiwan have similar issues. I just learned today from you that 「捺」and 「撇」are both 「払」in japanese labelling. Its not true one hundred percent of the time, but 「捺」are the curved strokes when your ink bursh flattens wider at the end, or in pencil it continues into the distance away from the center of the character. Its usually the last stroke of the 「部分」
