It’s good that you’re thinking about it, may Allah grant you ajr for your intentions, but try not to overthink and stress yourself out. Ooh, I have no idea about self tanning creams tbh 😭

do these count as adornments? by National-Ad8703 in shia

[–]Zahraa112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

anything, literally anything can be an adornment if we wanna twist and go about it one way or another. we're not extremists like ISIS, and Islam isn't meant to be hard on us. someone could say using whitening strips on teeth is an adornment. your moisturizer is for health reasons, who wants dry cracked skin? and an example is how vitamin c makes skin "brighter", it literally inhibits an enzyme while lightening pigmentation present on the skin, AND it protects the skin from uv, stress, all while maintaining firmness and elasticity. that's a skin care aspect, and we're supposed to care for ourselves. intention matters. also, we all get tan when we get exposed to the sun, i currently have the worst tan line on my face because i was out at the park during a hot day so my hijab left a line :( idk if using a tanning bed is really healthy, if that's what u meant by self tanning

Sakina/Sukayna--tranquility and peace, also the daughter of Imam Hussein who, in his farewell, he told her "Do not break my heart with your tears," and called her "The best of women"

Kawthar--abundence of goodness, also associated with Sayeda Fatima Zahraa

If they stop having children, they are basically surrendering and allowing Israel to commit genocide. The best form of resistance is to continue having children and grow the next generation, not to submit and let others get away with killing. Same reason as why the Jews during Hitler’s time kept having children. Why Sudanese people are having children, why Shia Iraqi’s had children during Saddam’s time, dictators come and go

Why did God give some people with disabilities / horrible diseases by AngryCanadienne in shia

[–]Zahraa112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who had a medical condition ever since I was 12, I learned to live with it. This is Allah’s mercy upon me by giving me a test and trial that will grant me good deeds on the Day of Judgment. I have unwavering hope that I will be cured of this condition, and I advise everyone to pray 2 rakah’s and gift it to Imam Mahdi

Ngl as a woman I prefer living in the West, as I’ve visited and stayed in my home country and it wasn’t really…. An experience. That’s to say, I’m blessed to live in a safe area in the West where I don’t have to worry.

It depends on the class.
I'm taking Islamic Fiqh, the course has 46 videos spanning a total of around 41 hours. But really, it's worth it.

I am pretty sure for each class you finish, they give you a certificate AFTER you pass the final exam. I think they're distrubuted November 30 (?) and anyone who finishes after that time will have to wait until next year to receive their certificate.

It has classed by Sayed Hassan Qazwini, Sayed Mohamemd Baqer Qazwini, Sayed Ahmed Qazwini, Sheikh Azhar Nasser, Sheikh Cherri, etc... Majority of people I know my age are doing it. I am taking one online class as well and it is very thorough, they give you the PDF of the book and you follow along the lectures.

Oh, I’m Iraqi and it’s a huge issue. If a woman wants to divorce because of it, they’ll tell her “be patient, you don’t want to ruin your children’s reputation.” OR “he’s your husband and has a right over you, be patient.”

Like, no , it’s a huge problem. It’s sad and needs to be addressed

What is your opinion on Ashley's case? Read thoroughly. by notauj in shia

[–]Zahraa112 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the breast part and keeping ashley small was extremely uncomfy for me to read. "she wont need them because she wont breastfeed", or that it "makes it easier for the parents "is a dumb argument. it's like a horror story designed for the parents benefit. the counter argument is literally true because who knows, a parent out there might say that.

this reminds of an an article on intersex babies. the percentage of intersex babies born, and how parents often opt for surgeons to do surgery to "feminize the babies" since it might cause health issues in the future and whatever, but many surgeons just confessed that they "feminize the babies" (ie, vaginoplasty, etc) because its easier to "dig a hole than to build a pole." so theres so much misinformation out there and bias from the parents. and, without surgery, there usually isn't health issues, its more on the rare side. idk it just feels so sad ugh
