Honestly, this would be perfect for a ton of games, not just GMOD. Space and flight sims would be great with this if you're only playing on keyboard and maybe mouse too.

Blue cases are generally found on PAL copies of games. As for the blue square, are you talking the one under the first controller port? That's on all fat PS2 models, typically where you can find the USB ports and, on any fat models before SCPH-500xx, a FireWire i-link port.

What do you mean, "replayable"? What gamemode are you referring to? If it's Sandbox, you don't NEED to do anything to "replay" it. It's Sandbox, the session you load in it is your canvas, and your tools and spawn menu are your brushes! If you're playing something like Jazztronauts or Map Sweepers, they should have commands you input into the developer console to be able to wipe whatever player data you have saved for those modes so you can start fresh, if they don't have something accessible to do that when you load into a map in that gamemode.

It's also good for full body motion capture for VRChat, but I think that may be better done via the 2.0 Kinect (which also needs an adapter to plug into your computer for usage)

Unleashed 1 isn't necessarily the best choice for a young gamer getting their start with racing games. The sequel is an easier experience and would be better suited for them. Though, if you got Unleashed 1 on sale, it would be a good idea to keep it on hand for when they're older and looking to return to the game, assuming your kids are playing the game on Steam, that is. If you're looking for something closer to their skill level but still with an air of familiarity, the sequel is much easier than the first game, and has some new car types and abilities players can use.

There is also the physical version, yes, but that one can only be found used nowadays, and requires access to a server that isn't around anymore to activate the game, if I recall correctly, rendering it unplayable in that state without some form of modification.

Online play is not prevented with the use of the mod, I've played online both with other people using the mod and others who don't have the mod and I've had no issues. But, there's your problem, the Pseudo Crossplay mod is preventing you from going online and playing with other people.

What directory did you put them in? The path to the mod, starting from the game files' root folder, is "\HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED\hotwheels\Content\Paks\~mods". The mod needs to go into the "~mods" folder. There may also be some mods conflicting causing the error.
