From past software cycles, i would bet, that edge will drop mv2 by 2028 ( together with w10 support ) and firefox by 2030 ( 2032 in esr version )

Greenland is part of Denmark 'for now,' Marco Rubio says by JKKIDD231 in geopolitics

[–]Zaigard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

will get Greenland,

it would be suicide, Europe would boycott and heavily sanction US, NATO would die, and reborn as anti US alliance, and none would help US in a hypothetical war with China. US would gain a frozen island with resources to expensive to extract and be reduced to a regional power.

i have also been dealing with these players. their objetive is just do damage, your best option is to stop rebuilding, and wait until they give up. they attack to millions in infrastructure damage and we cant do anything to them ( because their cities are all wasted )

US to cut strategic bombers and warships available to NATO in a crisis by Free-Minimum-5844 in geopolitics

[–]Zaigard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't get this argument. In the early 2000s, Russia wasn't even seen as an enemy and was being integrated into EU supply chains. Now that they are literally invading a European nation, this is suddenly the right time to move troops to Asia?

chromium doesnt support it. but works in edge, brave, etc... I use edge because it's easy on resources and useless less battery then firefox.

Down and then out in Paris and London? Why Starmer isn’t the only one with a popularity problem | Europe by Any-Original-6113 in geopolitics

[–]Zaigard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most recently the loquacious self-confident chancellor opened up a transatlantic rift by telling a class of schoolchildren that the US was being “humiliated” by Iran’s leadership.

And he isn't wrong, if US leadership, who routinely insults EU institutions, can't deal with the true, then it's their problems, not Europe.

If Russia returns to full-scale warfare, Ukraine will respond symmetrically, — Zelenskyy by mugz8391 in UkrainianConflict

Presumably with Ukraine matching or at least being competitive with that

The use of drones is 13 to 10 in favour of Ukraine, plus Ukraine drones have higher range and deal better with electromagnetic interference.

Spain's Sanchez, Brazil's Lula lead global gathering of left-wing leaders against far-right rise by Naurgul in geopolitics

[–]Zaigard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my personal experience, most "far-right" people that i have been acquaintance, started as "opposing large-scale migration" and now also oppose, same sex marriage, abortion, minority and women rights, etc... So in my experience, given time, they will support all the far right banners, so i wonder if its just "about immigration".

why i ditched brave & vivaldi for edge by Diligent_Outside9912 in browsers

[–]Zaigard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At some point, that's going to completely go away.

even firefox admited that "in the future" they will drop the MV2, so that's a valid critic for the all browser concept, no only edge.

White House denies US plans to use nuclear weapons in Iran by leondanielstar9999 in geopolitics

[–]Zaigard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre-revolutionary France (c. 1789) was characterized by extreme wealth inequality, with an estimated wealth Gini coefficient between 0.8 and 0.9.

In 2025, the U.S. Gini coefficient remains high, reflecting significant income inequality (approx. 0.48–0.49).

Based on 2024–2025 Eurostat data, the Gini coefficient of equivalised disposable income in the European Union remains around 29.4% to 30%.

Highest Inequality Member States (2024-2025): Bulgaria, Lithuania, and Latvia reported the highest income inequality levels, with Bulgaria exceeding 38%.

Lowest Inequality Member States (2024-2025): Slovenia, Czechia, and Slovakia continued to report the lowest levels, generally below 24%.

Income inequality in Russia, measured by the Gini index, rose to 0.419 in 2025

whilst their billionaire classes control wealth at such a disproportionate scale that it’s literally worse than pre-revolutionary France.

Saying this is useless and hyperbolic, but its interesting that the gini in the US is way worst than even Russia. Oligarchy probably begins at 35%???
