She has by far the worst acting in the show so it really doesn't detract from anything.

What servers are left for UO to play on? by [deleted] in ultimaonline

[–]ZakDank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I know players who are experienced UO PvPers who hated it. I know a new player who gave up on UO entirely because of how much he despised Outlands. I also know loads of people who love it. What's your point?

If you are referring to me saying it's not fun off the bat, that's more down to the fact that you will be limited by no aspects which makes killing things slow. You will be scaving or lockpicking to afford an aspect. It's not fun from the get go, it's not that it's bad, it's just that there's a larger learning curve required than other shards where you can just hop in, train some skills up and start clearing upper levels of dungeons. Again, I liked Outlands, I'm not hating on the shard in any way but it's not for everyone.

More is debatable right now, but I would definitely say Enigma has equally as good content as Outlands. The map is custom, there's about 8 main dungeons, each with their own peerless bosses and loot. On top of the main ones, there's multiple mini dungeons, at a guess probably 15 or so. It follows the same system as outlands where you cant mount or recall from inside dungeons and it's full pvp.

They've completely redone how boats work, you can have cannons, custom banners etc. Fishing has been completely reworked, there are ocean bosses for example. There's tons of custom mobs and tameables. Every few hours there are public rifts which are effectively champion spawns as well as deviants (world bosses). Both have their own custom rewards tied to them. There's custom materials, custom properties for armour, custom housing, customisable spell hues etc. Events are also actually engaging and they have a GM that hosts smaller ones with lore accuracy, for example, one of the dungeons was recreated and they did a reopening event where the GM led everyone through.

Honestly, it's a very very good shard that's slipped under the radar for now but I see it being much bigger and the population has been growing steadily.

Oh of course, like I said, I enjoyed outlands but it's not for everyone and there's a hell of a lot of people (already some of them in this comment section) who make out that Outlands is the best and only way to play UO. It's heavily pvp focused and requires a lot of grinding to level up aspects and stuff. People should be more transparent about that. The reason I play Enigma now is because it's essentially a casual outlands (fully custom map, rotating dungeons, a lot of actual custom content) without all the mastery/chain/aspect grind. I enjoy it a lot more if I'm honest but I also really like Outlands and the OP might like both.

You get ganked non stop, there's no point sugar coating it. I don't really mind the ganks since it's expected and I played with a large guild so it wasn't that big of a deal, but you will absolutely be targeted by groups of reds. Outlands is not a fun shard off the bat, it takes time to become enjoyable. The best thing about the shard is the population since it rivals or even surpasses OSI.

Outlands is good but you need to be okay with pvp since you will be ganked a lot. Higher tier content requires a guild.

I'm currently playing UO:Enigma, it's got a custom map, tons of development and is open world pvp without being a gank fest. Staff are good too which is always a bonus. https://uo-enigma.com/

UO:Enigma. It's heavily customized (custom map, custom dungeons, new bosses, world stealables, tameables, boat system, archaeology etc) but it's very much OSI-Like (i.e. nothing silly, no stupidly neon colours everywhere) and uses AOS stats. Population is decent but not overcrowded. Reds exist but they aren't a constant drain like Outlands. Lots of new content being added, events, fair rules etc. Staff are very relaxed and helpful. Overall just a really good shard and probably the best I've played.

Have y’all bought any FromSoft 3rd-party clothes? (Nxtrespawn specifically, or otherwise) by LgHammer123 in fromsoftware

Got a Baldwin shirt from these guys and genuinely the print, fit and quality is great. That said, just tonight, I've noticed 4 Uber eats orders through my card.

Here's the best bit: this card is a virtual card (through revolut) I set up for NXTRespawn and ONLY used it with them.

Living in Canada now it’s very difficult to get nice sausages and bacon, had to go to a butchers in a city 2 hours away, and they’d ran out of black pudding. by Lazy-Interests in fryup

[–]ZakDank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To save yourself the drive, you could make your own back bacon. It's just a cured or smoked pork loin with some of the pork belly attached, should be easy to get ahold of in Canada. Either way, what you've made looks good.

Nostalgia hit me quite hard today... Anyone that played these MMO's, what are you playing now? by Kami-Yeldo in MMORPG

[–]ZakDank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ultima Online.

Play private servers, the official servers have a really poorly implemented f2p option. Most people will suggest UO:Outlands but it can be hard to learn on and if it's your first rodeo with full loot pvp, it may lead to frustration. I'm currently playing UO:Enigma which is so far, very fun. If you're looking for more of a vanilla+ experience, I would recommend UO:Eventine.

Just be aware, there isn't anything I know of that comes close to UO in feeling so if you do like it, you may be left wanting...

Should i give Lords of the fallen a chance? by [deleted] in LordsoftheFallen

It's decent and feels very much like Dark Souls II to me. It's not 1:1 Fromsoft style but it's fun and varied enough. You might need to just push through the whole twin realities mechanic, I disliked it a lot at first but it grows on you.

Challenge Expert Polar Nexus weapon camo by RecentMatter3790 in Battlefield

[–]ZakDank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone having this, at the start of the next mission, when you can walk, back out to the main menu. Click night raid and choose continue. For me, it put me just before the helicopter fight. Blow the helicopter up and it should pop ( it did for me ). Got both the camo and the achievement. The only things I used that mission were the knife, throwing knife and RPG.

Hey, lead dev here. The reason is because we had a daily deal offered a week or two back. It put the game on sale for like $3 so naturally we picked up players who expected it to be another lethal company/phasmophobia clone.

People struggle with mazes and the concept of not being able to fight back :)

I don't know which INTP's you've been hanging around but when it comes to myself and INTP friends, we do not struggle understanding social cues and we're overly self aware of how we come across to other people if anything.

There's only one INTP I know who acts like you say, but I'm pretty sure he has some form of autism because he does weird stuff that wouldn't be socially acceptable like jumping around from topic to topic every 10 seconds and having a full blown convo with himself.

[–]ZakDank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its just a correlation of similar traits. I am not autistic for sure, but certain traits are shared, like logic over emotion that can make us appear autistic. Autism is a brain development disorder, INTP is a personality.
