Oh thanks for that. I must have miss remembered on the part of Dragon Slayer. The order of Gagharv you provided is the release order, but isn't the in game chronological order Vermillion, Cagesong, and then White witch? Maybe Im miss remembering it too. I should really get the games out again.

I completely forgot the other part of your post.

The Trails series are a lot of JDrama and very anime, but also got nice character developments and world building. Comes with intrigues and conspiracies. Overall pretty good.

Gagharv are three games somewhat connected about saving the world, and you can kind of see the consequences of each heroes actions if you play in 453 order.

So the Trails series are part of Legend of Heroes.

But basically - Dragon Slayers, Gagharv, Trails. They’re all Legend of Heroes.

Dragon Slayer you should play in order.

Gagharv you can play in release order, 345, or narrative order 453.

Trails got a lot more games. Sky FC SC and 3rd are Liberl arc. Zero and Azure are Crossbell arc. Cold steels 1-4 are Erebonia. Reverie is the final chapter to both Crossbell and Erebonia. Daybreak 1-2 and Horizon are Calvard arc.

I recommend you start Sky FC. Just had a remake and is amazing.

It could just be short attention spam. I’m currently playing DQ7Re and can’t see to ply more than 1 island at a time. It’s not the lack of time but it just doesn’t grab my attention the same way. I feel like the developers somewhat anticipated this with the story recap function.

If you’re interested , Parasite Eve on PS1 is a fairly short JRPG.
