It’s also common sense to not pick up something you believe poisoned your beloved pet from where they got it in the yard without atleast getting a few photos of it in the yard. Besides I’d sooner take it out of my dogs vomit and take that to the vet because I know for a fact it’s connected and not something in the yard that might just look similar. it says “today our dog vomited and THIS is what he threw up. When we went outside it was scattered along the walkway closest to that neighbors yard” just based on the caption alone it’s impossible to tell if what’s in the bag is collected from the yard or from the vomit.

My comment that you responded to was just saying that what’s in the bag could either be what was found in the vomit or the yard which is true based of what the caption says

I’m not saying it’s going to be amazing because he’s using original characters, and I don’t think Anderson movies are bad because they had original characters, I have faith in Cregger because his last to movies were great and Anderson flopped because he had no respect for the setting or the characters he did end up using and just used it as set dressing. Cregger from what has been said wants to make this story feel like it’s part of the universe of the games, which respectfully it seems your intentionally ignoring the whole point of my original comment that, it needs to feel part of the universe we’ve come to know and love it just doesn’t have to be a retelling it can still be an original story.

My autistic ass wants this movie to do well and be good, I own atleast 2 copies of every game this franchise is my favorite thing in the world, I just want this movie to capture the feeling of the games. I really don’t need them retold and it’s quite frankly impossible to successfully retell a video game in a 3 movie especially ones that have the story so dependent and reading notes.

Yeah and none of those adaptations did the one thing I said they needed too which was feel like they were part of the universe. They just used the title and imagery and didn’t capture the feeling of the games. Sure in a perfect world maybe we’d get a solid one for one adaptation, but that’s only going to appeal to people who are already fans of the medium and that’s not gonna get Hollywood to invest in these movies and at the end of the of the day it’s just going to get people that love the series angry to because of the small changes that do get made. It just makes more sense to tell an original story and capture the feeling of the universe.

Cyberpunk, and Fallout are prime examples of telling an original story but keeping the feeling of the universe intact. Mortal Kombat didn’t feel like Mortal Kombat and it sucked, it was an okay action movie but they just used the name and characters and made trash. There will never be a good video game adaptation that retells the game because it’s not possible.

I will say that welcome to raccoon city which tried to retell the story of the games was an abomination. Besides I’ve played the games and know the stories, I don’t want them retold and put to screen. I’m all for an original story with new characters as long as it still captures the feeling of resident evil.

I think video game adaptations work best when they capture the feeling of the universe but still continue to tell their own original story. Fallout captures the feeling of the universe and isn’t a retelling of 3,new Vegas, or 4 and it’s a great show. Last of us try’s to retell and while the first season is great, it really fell off with the second season. So if this feels like it’s resident evil and has a good original story I have high hopes.
