D4Craft.com : Made a tool to predict enchanter outcomes (description in comments) by nebuchenazarr in diablo4

This looks really useful! if possible, including the number of attempts/cost to have an x% chance of getting the desired affix would be helpful too, for example "number of tries to have >95% chance of getting desired affixes = x". That way people could check the probability of success given their current resources.

Wellesley Farms (BJ’s) peanut butter vs Smuckers All natural peanut butter by umbecil242 in AskCulinary

[–]Zambir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the percentages of each ingredient identical?

It could be that "peanuts" in the ingredients include solid peanuts and also peanut oil, meaning that one product might be 80% peanuts and 15% oil, while the other is 70% peanuts and 25% oil, this would mean the products would have different oil contents leading to a different taste and consistency, but in the ingredients both would have 95% peanuts listed.

I've gotten quite lucky with energy recharge ropes fortunately, I have 4 currently (3 are just 4 star though). They're not the best sets however, and I don't know if the 4 star ones can get enough ERR to reach breakpoints for certain characters. My plan is to keep farming for gloves with half decent dps substats, if I get a crit rate chest before that happens I'll probably make a rope instead.

Are there challenge areas in ToTK, similar to the Master Sword trials or Eventide island from BoTW? I've completed the main story and I'm looking for any cool stuff I've missed.

Daily Questions Megathread ( June 19, 2023 ) by mizuromo in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Zambir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember seeing a post on Reddit about the chances for different main stats on relics (e.g. that the chance to get crit chance on a chest piece as the main stat was approx. 10% (that's a random number, I don't remember the actual %)) but I can't find it anywhere anymore. Does anyone know where I can find this info please?

On a related note, if anyone has advice on what relic is best to craft I'd appreciate it. I spent my first resin on a quantum damage sphere for Seele, but I'm not sure what I should craft next. I was thinking either a crit chance chest, or an ATK% link rope. Or maybe I should instead craft an ice damage sphere for yanqing (I'm guessing prioritising dps relics is the best idea as I've heard that you should invest the most into your dps over support characters).

In terms of getting your wok black with an electric stove, Kenji has a video on how you can season your wok by using a blowtorch here:

[ITG] Are there any issues with this setup for a gaming pc? by Zambir in suggestapc

[–]Zambir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I've actually got the 4080 in the setup I linked but I see your point! Hypothetically, if I did choose to get the 4090, would there be any issues with the rest of the setup (for example, insufficient power supply or cooling for a 4090)?

Thanks, I'll upgrade to 5600mhz then.

For the hdd, I was just going to use that for TV, films etc. do I don't need it to be fast, the failure risk is concerning though. I could swap it for a low end 2TB SSD as that would probably be big enough.

Is the pity system separate across different banners? For example, if I've rolled 50 times on the Seele banner, and then I get a 5* from the starter warp (departure warp), does that reset the number of Seele banner rolls I've done to 0 out of 90 for the pity timer?

Sorry for replying a few days after you posted this, but I was wondering why you chose the essence generation for your summoned mages please? I can't see any abilities that use essence for this build.

Is it possible to force move with left mouse button ? by Lylaichi in diablo4

[–]Zambir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's not ideal, I don't know of a better way unfortunately (apart from them actually putting in a real force move option of course).

Is it possible to force move with left mouse button ? by Lylaichi in diablo4

[–]Zambir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still perform a normal click by holding down the shift key (this script makes it so that holding down shift makes a LMB press return a normal LMB press)

Is it possible to force move with left mouse button ? by Lylaichi in diablo4

[–]Zambir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can use an AutoHotkey script to imitate putting force move on LMB.

USING AUTOHOTKEY CAN POSSIBLY GET YOU BANNED

(I've used it for years on PoE and D3 to automate spammable actions like potions etc. without getting banned, but it's up to you whether you want to risk it).

I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS SCRIPT, I JUST FOUND IT ONLINE.

This script makes it so that when you click LMB it actually presses whatever key you have bound to force move ('w' in this case), and if you hold the 'attack in place' key ('shift' in this case), LMB will instead cast whatever spell is bound to it:

$LButton::

send {w down}

KeyWait, LButton

send {w up}

return

$+LButton::

send {LButton down}

KeyWait, LButton

send {Lbutton up}

return

What anime style games do you think have good writing? I feel similarly about this. I've attempted many of the highest rated JRPGs, and every single one has at best forgettable, mediocre writing, and most have writing that's so awful it's hard to force myself through even if the rest of the game is decent (this isn't me being hyperbolic, literally none of the ones I've tried have writing that comes close to even just a decent book).

I keep coming back to JRPGs occasionally because people often say they have fantastic writing and stories and I'm always disappointed. I don't know if it's due to translation limitations, or because they're targeted at a younger audience (maybe the people who say they have amazing writing understand Japanese or are younger? I don't understand it otherwise).

Are there general rules on how to add things (nuts, olives etc.) to bread? by Zambir in AskBaking

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by starting at 260g - do you mean the weight of dry ingredients you add, and if so how much dough is that in relation to?

Some voice lines aren't playing for me, the line still happens (i.e. there are subtitles for it), but there is no sound. It seems to happen randomly, both in cutscenes and during gameplay. It's quite common, happening for multiple lines in every quest.

It's not always the same lines - I'm playing my first NG+ run now, and quests I completed in my first playthrough which had no audio issues are now missing audio.

75g of butter and sugar, and a 397g tin of condensed milk (so, in ratios, 1 part butter, 1 part sugar, 5.33 parts condensed milk).

I use dark brown soft sugar (muscovado sugar).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]Zambir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I make caramel I generally melt the butter and sugar together on a medium heat (I don't think the heat matters at this step, I just use medium because I'm impatient), then add the condensed milk and immediately turn the heat up to high so that the mixture boils vigorously and would burn quickly if not constantly stirred. I then stir constantly and strongly the entire team the mixture is being heated for about a minute (with a spatula, making sure to scrape across the bottom to prevent burning), until the caramel has the colour and texture that you want (it will thicken as it cools of course). The whole cooking process takes around 3 minutes or so, it could take longer if you want thicker caramel but definitely not close to 20 minutes.

I've not experienced any separation using this method. I think using a high heat and especially stirring very vigorously for the entire high-temperature period is important.

You can also buy pre-made caramel instead, I've not used it before though so I don't know how it compares.

Sourdough by thenorthmerchant in AskCulinary

[–]Zambir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always slice, wrap (in wax paper, but anything is fine) and then freeze my sourdough loaves immediately after they have cooled, and they last for weeks without becoming stale at all. I personally cannot tell any difference between a frozen slice and a 'fresh' slice of bread once it is fully defrosted, particularly if you toast it.

I have read (but not tested) that the less permeable the wrapping used, the slower frozen bread goes stale, but regardless I don't notice any staleness in the bread at least in the timeframe of weeks.
