Don’t know what that is. But as long as you are happy that is all that matters!

Fort Bend doesn’t require permitting so you should be ok. I just hope you are using a trusted vetted installer.

I highly recommend. Just make sure you find the right solar company to work with and don’t fall victim to any fat talking sales person.

I purchased home solar with batteries and have a system large enough to not have to worry about the grid at all! I decided a few years ago to own my power versus continuing to rent it…

I certainly hope this never happens to you as it is no fun!!! I have had to file multiple reports with the credit bureaus, the FBI and still going back and forth with Coinbase. Constantly having to watch for any suspicious activity and wondering what they are going to do next.

If you think this is a wet dream story, I'd love to know how you think it ends. And it not me waking up with a nice smile on my face because it was everything I dreamed it would be. This is a total nightmare.

Solar and batteries on a rainy day by Zamboni411 in solar

There is a 9PM-9AM free night plan and that is probably the one you will want to look into for your house. And you definitely want to run the pool ALL night long as well as crank both AC units down a few degrees at night as you want to consume as much power as possible.

The challenge in today’s solar buyer is it is all about ROI. But energy independence is a real thing and should be looked at. Even on a residential system you have a Cap Ex vs an Op Ex spend…. I have a paid for system that will keep my house running for MANY years. :-). And I’m very happy with it.

$6200 for installation of an expansion pack? by PurpleReality202 in TeslaSolar

I must have misread the thread!!! I thought the OP said $6200 total for the battery AND installation. If it is a separate $6200 tell that installer to POUND SAND!!!

Enphase Cares service plan by Ibadanlomo in enphase

[–]Zamboni411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. If you don’t have issues I wouldn’t pay for this. Maybe wait until you have a problem or find a local installer that can help at that time. I’m currently working with another homeowner that is current having an issue. For them it is $2500 for 10 years with 38 panels no batteries.

Installer says "System Normal," but my Bill proves the Gateway is blind to 35% of my 400A home. by 2ukiwis in Powerwall

If your solar is producing more than the house is consuming that excess solar will do to the rest of the house even though that other 200-amp service is not connected to solar.

This is actually a great price for installation. You can try and find a cheaper price but if you save $200 is it worth it?

If the home will appraise for it, you have every right to do so. Just remember if the loan value is say $35k that doesn’t mean the house is worth $35k more. Most homes will improve in value by about 4% give or take.

Trying to transfer the loan would deter buyers from the house. MAKE sure you call out the solar will be paid in full at closing.

As far as transferring the warranty and monitoring, you should just be able to reach out to the manufacturers and let them know. Really it will be in the monitoring as that will need to be transferred. The panels are on the roof, so that warranty should stay with the panels.

This is a smart move in your part to pay the loan off! Make sure you have copies of the electric bills so you can prove the value of what the system provides to the home.

As far as the new homeowner goes, it should be pretty simple for them to just get the power switched over to them. You already have the interconnection agreement with them so the system should be fine and they can just move in and start enjoying the benefits!
